| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- We get a brief chance to catch our breaths in the middle of this episode, in between giant robots rampaging at the beginning and the end. Kouji is already starting to "go mad" with power and anger. It's a good thing that Tsubasa is keeping him under control. And next week we get to see Baa-san in action in Mazinger!!! Go GAR Baa-san!!!! LOL BTW - According to the official web site, Region 2 DVDs and Blu-Ray discs start to go on sale at the end of September. The Blu-Ray release will be a box set and contain the first 9 episodes. |

| And here I was all excited because we had both a main character sighting and a Mazinger sighting right from the start. Rather than it going anywhere though we got another largely pointless snooze-fest. Here's hoping that next week will bring the first good episode in too long. |
| Great classic action at the start. Koji Kabuto and Baron Ashura on both of their sides struggle to learn teamwork. |

| Pretty boring episode with some backstory on the characters I don't care about, can understand with this episode is one with the least comments. |

| Will this be worse than the original in terms of screen time shares? Not only Kôji, but the "photon team" and Sayaka, everyone is put aside to let the scene to the "stars". 3/5 |
