THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Well, I think Kindaichi did a fair job with the investigation. That's probably what I would of done as well by going back and inspect every aspect of the crime scene especially of what went on over the dinner tables. And imo, they did make a fair progress too with the clues. By reorganizing and collectively piece everything together, I definitely he lives up to his reputation. Way to go man.

All of this is a bit too iffy in my opinion and I noticed how they changed the hangars from earlier episodes to conveniently fit the trick and destroy all possible foreshadowing and sorts, making this a complete farce.

I am shocked with the ending. I had a feeling that he was gonna surprise us with who the killer was, but didn't expect this.

Nice catch. But since this was an adaptation, it's more likely that the animators just didn't realize the hangers were important when the search scene came up. Just conjecture, since I haven't read the source. That said, the setup with the wire was still high-risk and far-fetched. It's rather typical for detective drama, so I'm not too miffed. Calculation the thickness of the wire without knowing the material irked me more. I did like the twist with "Miyuki" though.

Kindaichi is off to a good start; figuring out the coordinates of the location where the Poison Dragon is located.

Video footage helps figuring out how Chan was murdered. His despise for butterfly served as a good clue.

Ivy was one of the murderer of Wang Long, but she did help his family get away from inevitable death.

Shin's murder method is also explained thoroughly. Kindaichi is genius!
Though I must admit, I didn't see that ending coming.

Next episode will end the current case. I still want to think she's not the true culprit..

I kinda feel it will be Ran in the end. Miyuki is already in Japan I think since they show a plane take off.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Shit.. I thought it was the bellboy. Then again Ran not answering that guy's calls was suspicious.

It's Ran if he pointed on Miyuki , but once agaiin I think the animation is poorly done , ost and design.
The first episode was good , I appreciated it but the second and third episode was for me really boring there's a real lack of suspense and you don't feel any sensation watching it , as for the first Kindaichi which was really good this one is bad.
I thought that it would be better or as the same level as Detective Conan in terms of case , but it's definitly worse than D.C.
The case itself seems really impossible on first glance , i mean there's no way a single bomb would be able to destroy all Hong kong , and that Dragon Poison sounds ridiculously childish.
Well i guess i gotta wait for the next ep , but i'm not waiting for something big.

Much, much better than last week's disaster, thankfully. Unfortunately, as k11chi mentioned, the animators botched one of the most important clues early on for figuring out the trick, weakening the whole case in general. I liked the tricks used as well and at least most of the clues fit together, so there's that. For the record, though, the whole bomb subplot should have been removed from this case and replaced with something else, it's easily the weakest part of the whole thing.

Miyuki isn't the culprit, of course. I'm going to say that Ran is probably the culprit, and they simply ended the episode this way to increase the drama and suspense. It isn't something you see a lot, though, so I appreciate it.

I think he meant Ran, there is no way it was the main heroine lol. So probably its purpose was only to make a big cliffhanger.

Anyway really poor animations.

Miyuki? o.o

7/10 for this episode.
Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

So all the hangers are connected? The whole nylon thread thing feels excessive. Miyuki being the murderer, well we know who the real killer is then, nice to hear some of the iconic lines of dialogue from Kindaichi.
