| Ha. I was blown away by this manga. I've seen plenty of good martial arts manga with a male lead, but with a female? Not so many, and as a martial arts girl myself, I'M IN LOVEE~~ (with the manga anyway) Do I even need to mention the 0% of annoying panty-shots or anything of that sort? These girls are kick ass, and I feel so pumped to go sparring tom!! Btw, the lead girl pisses me off as a person, but as a character, I can't deny she caught my attention, and now I'm starting to warm up to her XD |

I don't think this artist knows how to draw girls all that well. This manga seems interesting, but the Art is a huge deal for me, and it's killing me already, someone tell me it gets better? And that main character is jacked up so far IMO. I understand wanting to be the crap out of people. But wanting to do it to someone who's that nice? For such a reason? ... Edit: Finished the chapter, very interesting story, but the art is so-so and the main character is annoying. I think I'll just drop this now and save myself some time. |

Hell, even Meguru focuses a lot on its female fighters. Speaking of which, Maki from Meguru is basically the exact same character (down to the height, facial expression, and fighting style) as Natsuo from Teppu, except done much better. |

I've seen Yawara a couple of times in the past and I've always skipped over it, and admittedly, I've never given much of a chance to female-lead martial arts mangas. Same with Meguro, passed over it but never read it. But now I'll check them out; curious about this "Maki" ;) |
| So people think that they looked like boys, huh. So normally in real life people think that female martial artists actually look feminine? Rofl. Even in real life, women who trained in martial artist would normally look like a boy/tomboy. | They look badass enough to me with a badass attitude too. This is how I like my series. I just hope they will develop soon too in ways similar to Hajime no Ippo. |
