He is told not even bother Terumi he is too weak. Well that is nice? What if the game said, lulz don't bother playing the game your character is too weak.

He struggled against Nu. He struggled against Jin in the second fight. Both Rachel and Konoko? basically write him off. Oh wait, Platinum also wrote him off.

I mean all he has going for him is buying meals little kids. I realize the mechanics of the anime work differently from the game, but I just wish they wouldn't make him such a butt monkey.

Well in the game racehl does warn ragna not to fight hazama as well but ragna is made to look like a fucking pussy in this anime that cant even control his power whatsoever.

Hell even his azure looks nerfed as hell, like just watch this little machinima made entirely from in game sprites, look how all the characters actually have useful unique powers and can hold their own

Also when you see how the gameplay of a normal BB fight is and compare it to the trahs they push as fights in this series not even including any of the moves or fighting styles, you really start to see just how horrendous this anime is even to die hard fans

I will dream of a day when a competent studio with a competent director picks this series up. sadly thanks to this abomination and blazblue at this point essentially confirmed to end with the next game that day will never come

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

But it's the same in the game. Half the fights in the game are just some other character teasing/testing you, or one of the fighters is injured, or you lose in the story even if you win the fight.

The line you are quoting happens in the game. Everyone tells him not to fight because he has no chance, and when you get to Terumi you cannot use drive attacks and get beaten badly.

I think it makes for a very frustrating game. You either win the fights and get a bad ending, or get an even worse ending by losing or choosing wrong paths in the visual novel. Then it doesn't matter anyways because ~timelines~. By the time you get to the true ending you are so used to defeat and hearing Terumi's annoying laugh that it doesn't even matter, and it's not like it solves much either.

Maybe so, but Blazblue is the spiritual successor to Guilty Gears, and if SoL every looked half as weak as Ragna people would be flipping tables. I guess my gripe is, I cant see him going from as weak as he is to then all of sudden becoming the hero and beating the bad guy. That gap is too big.
