Don't we all have masks that we wear in the public sphere? You can see how totally different they act with each other when they're alone vs. when they're in the classroom. The way I act with my sister is way different than the way I act with my classmates. I can talk what I like with my sister without being judged. If society saw you a certain way, sometimes you can't help it but fit into the mold they make. IMO I don't see this as cheesy when there are so many other shoujo mangas that are way cheesier AND cliche than this. |
