| Last ep of the night. Ep 4. The official kick off to the Academy arc. Pros: More new characters & an old foe: Airi: Tenchi's grandma. She brings another face to the Masaki lineage and even helped fill about a bit more on Seto. Wish there were subtitles for those other names. She seems to resemble Seto in the crazy/troll aspect so there's some fun in that. Kiriko's family: More light shed on Kiriko's family and a huge on. What is she to the Tenchi family? And has she interacted with the Misakis? Seiryo: Oh Hi, Papacha new model. Our comedic foil/antagonist ladies and gentlemen. He'll be good for a laugh. Leading Ladies: Amane and Kiriko finally meet and the sparks are flying. It's expected to see the two opposite begin fighting over the male lead but there's a bit more weight to it. YMMV. Kiriko has been in space for an unknown amount of time and knows the bad things in the dark so her concern for Seina is as it should be. It also reminds us of the Big Sis role she has. But then we wouldn't have our plot and her overprotectiveness does have her at odds with Seina. Amane's flirtatious manner counters with the classic "it's his decision" remark. However it doesn't score her as many points due to not knowing Seina that well along with her teasing nature over Seina and Kiriko's relationship. Her lackadaisical manner of the dangers the earth boy faces would be a minus but that's countered by her knowing about his incident. Maybe she sees some good in that curse like Seto and figures that will be enough. Seina, of course, wants to stay. That's good and all but I really wish there was a concrete reason for why he seems at ease or not as concerned for his health. Well on one hand, he could die or get hurt back on earth with that curse and plus he might still be riding on the coat tails of his spur of the moment. He might just be overly curious about space but I hope we dig a bit deeper into it. 3 stooges stage left, 2 guys stage right: Those bridge guys are gone. Thank god. Their replacements aren't that much better with their overly friendly attitude, YMMV, but there's a bit more to them with Rajau being tech savvy and Kenneth being a more "pat on the back, old chum" kinda guy. Kinda like the Jokester. Still much better improvement. Space Tech: It's pretty good for a sci-fi setting and easily explained. Crystals that can change the color and form fitting. Definitely Star Trek material. Nit pick: Erma's voice: They really couldn't do anything for her teaser reveal? I'm not sure why Ms. Dorothy Fahn was asked to voice that part but why couldn't they fix it up? Delivery Man gone: I'm gonna miss that guy. He had a cool voice an...wait a minute! That was Kotomine Kirei from Fate! They had that badass on this show and he's just a Guide!? Major screw up! That awesome voice should be heading the evil villain to show up in the future! Man. What a waste. Anyway, 4/5. It was a good starter to the new arc and with the inclusion of these crazy cast, I can't wait for the lolz to start. |

| all these ladies in this anime are amazing I think i can guess how Mihoshi got her job... ok, so we know why Kiriko is in space- she is a space alien- but the important question becomes why was she on Earth? I would think Seina would be confused seeing her in space and want to know why she was in working in the GP...if he had an ounce of normal intelligence |
