| She felt oddly comfortable on this side of the world. A Forsaken and a Manifested working together, talking together, walking together. An uncommon occurrence created for the purpose of rescuing the unjustly acused and punishing those who have placed these accusations. They were going against a world cloaked in shadow, ruled by darkness. Who knows what awaited them but she did know one thing for sure... She had made the right choice. | During my search for a place to eat I earned more and more unusual stares, what the hell are you looking at... just leave me alone. But as soon as I finished that thought some huge fatass knocked me over... I guess thats what made me snap. Eating can wait... I'll just kill everyone now... and as a bonus I won't need to worry about paying for food. I walked over to the fatass who had just knocked me over and brushed my hand across his spine, his face turned pale and he fell to the ground with a satisfying thud. People began to crowd around him to see what was wrong and I walked against the crowd brushing my hand against everyone I passed, and they all fell to deaths cold, cold embrace. Heh, I guess I wasn't being too discreet... looks like they realized it was me... |
| "He's the guy that sells eggs at the market..." Kuro said as he was standing still. He saw what some guy was doing. He held his hand at his side a conquered a fireball in it. Holding it like he was going to throw a baseball, he wound up and pitched the fireball. It rocketed across the market and left a trial of smoke behind it. It caused a small explosion as it hit the guy that just killed a large amount of people. Kuro's cold yet fiery eyes glared at the guy, "What the hell do you think you are doing," he said as he made another fireball, it was a flame whose intensity was stronger than the one prior. Kuro was pissed at the guy that could kill innocents so freely. |

| Eiko ran over to the fallen people, pressing two fingers to their throat. At each person the feeling was the same. Their skin was cold, clammy to the touch. She waited, remembering what she was taught in school. After a few seconds of waiting, she slowly stood up. "No pulse...they're gone." Looking at the corpses her eyes, resembling molten lava, turned on the assailant. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Her hands glowed brightly, threateningly. |

| Its hot... is it fire? I thought to myself as I stared at my left hand, the bandage and sling I had concealing it was burned away revealing a grayed and demonic looking hand. Its been so long since I had looked at it... I had forgotten how repulsive it looks. But despite that how it looks it did absorb most of the blast. "What the hell do you think you are doing," I heard someone say to me, it was just a kid... who had control over fire, was he one of our kind? I decided to answer him, "What am I doing... ? ... I'm looking for a place to eat" I said, trying to smile. I examined his stance, powers,and our surrounding area... He had an advantage over me in terms of effective range... however he lacks of experience, I probably have 5 or 6 years on him. |

| As the wave of fire rushed toward me I picked up one of the corpses by my feet and held it in front of me, using it as a shield from the fire. The corpse was set aflame but I was holding with my left hand so it didn't hurt really. The smell of burning flesh hovered in the air and the surrounding buildings began to catch on fire as well, figures... think before you use your power. With a single movement I got behind the pyro kid and aimed for his spine, it was fast, effective, and should have been fatal. But I hesitated, when I realized something... I had never killed one of our kind before. |
| "He...he killed all of these people. Why? What should I do? Do I attack, do I defend? I...don't want to kill people but...what he did...I-I don't know what to do..." Her eyes darted back and forth, between the innocent lives taken and Kuro's barrage of attacks. She was confused, so very confused. Retaliate, retreat, stand back? "Blessed Defense." she whispered, creating a barrier around the battling two. With this, hopefully, no other humans would be harmed should an attack go astray. The fighting ensued as the mystery man used a nearby corpse to deflect Kuro's attack. Didn't he...didn't he have any respect for the dead? Her thoughts came to an abrupt halt as the silver haired man aimed for Kuro's spine. If his spine was severed, he'd die! "Leave him alone! Refraction!" she screamed, aiming several spears of light at the assailant. |

| Kuro gritted his teeth and moved his hand and control the flames on the building back towards his hand. He leaped forwards and rolled as he caught the fire, sending the fire he caught at the silver haired guy, "Like I'd actually let someone kill me now," he said through gritted teeth, "You hesitate to kill me, but what the hell about the people you just killed! 95 percent of the people in this town are like us! Didn't that even cross your mind!" barked Kuro. |

| That girl...! I didn't have time to move, they were coming at me too fast. I felt sharp jolts of pain all over my body, and as I looked down I saw several spears of light had pierced my flesh. And... what the pyro said... "I see... heh... heh heh... So I have killed one of one kind before... in that case... what does it matter... if I kill the rest of them?" I said as I turned to him, only to see a wave of flames rushing towards me. In the state I was in there was no way I could have dodged it, the spears of light hindered my movement... so I closed my eyes and let my feet give away. As I fell backwards I cut the ground beneath me creating a large enough hole to avoid the fire. |
| "The hell?" Tenshi asked as he saw a guy fall into the safe house underneath the village, "What are you doing?" he asked. Hundred upon hundred of Forsaken looked at the guy that fell into the warehouse. He had fallen straight into the nest of hundreds of 5 studs. ------------- "Che! That fucking bastard thinks he can run away?" yelled Kuro as he ran toward the hole and saw Tenshi standing in front of him. <<Hmm.... so are you planning on making you guy a bad guy Setsu? Because it seems that way, even though the main bad guys are people in the government that serve under Mayor Reigen>> |
| I wasn't quite sure what had just happened but the spears that had hindered me began to dissipate. I realized I had landed on a table in the middle of what looked like a tavern... along with hundreds of eye's staring at me. But unfortunately I had lost too much blood and I started to lose conciseness. I looked up at the hole in the ceiling above me and I saw a girl staring down at me. I reached out my hand toward the angelic figure above me... but I blacked out before I could reach her. |
| Eiko dropped from the newly-made hole, landing beside the unconscious man. Who was he reaching for? Her? She shook her head. This man had killed innocent people. Why was she thinking about such trivial things? But it still made her curious. What happened to him? He seemed so...sad. She glanced at the mutated arm, snippets of what used to be a sling shredded beneath him. What...was this? Something had happened to this man, something horrible, something that had caused him to become what he is now. Her curiosity grew as her rage dwindled. And suddenly, her grandfather's prone form flashed before her eyes. She couldn't kill him, even with all the horrible things he has done. She turned to Tenshi and Kuro, shivering slightly at the population of 5-studded Forsaken. "What do we do with him now?" |

| "The hell if I care, he killed without even thinking. The next time I see him, I don't know if I can stop myself," Kuro said as he was about to storm out. "Oye oye.." Tenshi said grabbing him by the arm and turned him into an ice sculpture. It took a few seconds but the ice melted, "Did you cool off any?" Tenshi asked. "Yeah... a little... thanks," Kuro said as he took up a chair. He notice that Eiko was shaking and looked around seeing all the 5-studs looking at them, "You guys can get back to what you were doing, can't you see you're making her uneasy?" he said. They shrugged and returned to their business. "Um... we can heal him I suppose.." Tenshi said looking at him at glared at the his left hand, "I don't feel like we are in the position to restrain him, but I'll freeze his legs, so when he wakes up, we can get info out of him." "I'll be back..." Kuro said as he went upstairs to place an order of food for when the guy wakes up. |
| The uneasiness in her stomach settled as the Forsaken dispersed upon Kuro's words. It seemed like they, Kuro and Tenshi, were considered the leaders among the group. Fate must be smiling for her to know them first. Her thoughts redirected to the young man on the ground. Her Refraction magic paired with Kuro's flame injured and seared him pretty badly. Now to see the extent the fall did to his body. "Scrutinize." she murmured, scanning the man's body for his total injuries, both internal or external. Fortunately the only damage was those done to his body. All primary and secondary organs seemed untouched and functioning well. "Okay, stand back a little while I heal him." she sighed. "Halo." A circle of light appeared above the unconscious body showering healing rain. As the light settled, the scorched skin was restored to normal. Eiko settled back on her feet, wiping trickles of sweat that had accumulated on her forehead. "All right. You may freeze when ready Tenshi." |

| "Sure," Tenshi said as closed his eyes, "Diamond Dust Blizzard," he said as he took in a deep breath and blew on the guy's legs, freezing them completely. This was one of his strongest forms of ice, but no his strongest technique, "That should hold for a day or so. I just hope he doesn't take to long to wake up," Tenshi said as he chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. Kuro came back down with a hamburger and thing of fries. He placed them on the table next to them, "If it gets cold, I'll heat it up later..." Kuro said as he looked up and then at Eiko, "You can take a seat if you want. I decided to call of f my training." "Eh? You were gonna go train? That's unusual," Tenshi snickered. "What do you mean!?! I always train," Kuro shot back. "Heh, I'm sure you do," Tenshi snickered again and he looked at Eiko, "Come on grab a seat, it must be tiring to just stand there especially after using such a technique. I don't know much about the manifested, but for us for every stud one has it's like showing their capabilities. The number of studs are also given depending at the age one manifests, and how one manifests. For me I was three, and I took out half a block by accident," Tenshi said as he rubbed the back of his neck, "That was back when I was a child living in Ryoku City." |

| She sat down in her seat, inhaling and exhaling as her body recovered from the activity of healing. "I was a few years from entering Junior High, around 8 or 9 I believe, when my powers manifested. Although I hadn't caused any damage I do remember my body being consumed by an incredible light. It was...as if the very sun itself was shining from within. All I could feel was a strain before my powers were released and an incredible comfort afterward." Her eyes glazed over with nostalgia. She remembered so vividly how her parents were shocked beyond comparison at the sight of their beloved daughter glowing before their eyes. Two humans birthing a child with incredible power. She chuckled at their reactions. "I think...my parents really thought at that time that I'd be a Forsaken. That I'd inherit some unstoppable power that would destroy and consume everything. When they found out that I had, indeed, healing powers they were overjoyed beyond comparison." She shook her head. At that period in her life she didn't understand why they were so relieved. But now...it all became clear. She turned to Tenshi in question. "Is there a way for a Manifested to become a Forsaken? I mean, is there a way for Manifested to inherit the studs, despite the way our powers originated?" |

| Tenshi's eyes narrowed at her words, "Heh.. Inherit studs? Why would anyone want to inherit something likes these? They are like a curse to us... What's so fun about being tagged like cattle, and locked away until you are no longer considered a threat. You should be glad that you don't have studs," Tenshi said as he pulled out a bottle of sake from earlier, "The more studs people have, the more hell they were put through." He popped the cap and held it up to his lips preparing to take a sip, "In order to survive in that place in which we were imprisoned at such an early age you have to have a very strong will to live," Tenshi said after taking a sip, "Must be nice having parent... I was so young that I can't even remember who mine were. The only way I knew my age was from the older Forsaken that had similar powers as me and locked up the same way I was." |
| *Hana had passed out above by the hole and returned to normal. Then changed into a bird flew down to Tenshi and the others and turned back to normal.* Hana: Sorry.......Its nice to meet you all but I must be going. Its seems that those people always find me. I got away after they put these 4 studs in my ear but there is a hole for a 5th one. All because if I get mad I turn into the most dangerous animal that first comes to mind and I can't control it. I have been on the run ever Agh..... *Hana looked at her arm and it was burned.* Hana: I must have got to close to him with the fire. I'll be fine though. * Hana bowed slightly and turned to leave* |
| "Ahh wait!" Eiko called, running up to the girl. She took her arm in hand and gazed intently at the injury. "I'm sorry but I can't let you leave with such a wound. Please let me heal you. Halo..." she whispered, allowing the warmth of light to cure the girl's scorched skin. |

"Yeah, Tenshi's is right you know," Kuro added as he heated up a cup of coffee that a waitress brought over, "Oh thank you~" he said with a smile towards the waitress. |

Kuro added as he gritted his teeth, "Bastard ran over to the other side as soon as he could. Instantly becoming our enemy," Tenshi added and Kuro nodded. |
