Loved it though exactly like when I read the Manga I was a bit uncertain whether to like Ryota or hate him, I mean just how much of a dick he was to his family made me want to punch him. lol, but I loved the episode! |

| I've been reading the manga for so long and I didn't know how to pronounce the title until now hahaha Anime Sakamoto doesn't really like the manga Sakamoto but screw it, Madhouse knows how to handle action and the jungle looks frikkin' awesome. His voice suits him considering his character but it was really stupid of him to take so long to realize how his bim works. Judging from the OP they might even cover vol. 8 and maybe 9 (which I haven't read yet), hence why are they already doing Himeko's past who looks even hotter in the anime. Paul said: How much bombs do each players have? From the looks of it Sakamoto only had 8 based on what was shown. That other guy used 6 and was about to use his 7th and 8th but didn't look like had any plans to stop as he was pretty much going trigger happy. Sakamoto even took his pouch and said he "Do I have to use his bombs to survive?" or something along those lines, meaning he still had some left...? From what I'm guessing though, he probably has a lot more, that or they somehow refill...? Don't tell me the pouch has a unlimited amount of bombs now do they? |

| Why is everybody comparing this show to SAO? I can't find any similarities outside of both being anime and the MC's of both being gamers(even then, they are different kinds of gamers). SAO is a romance/adventure series, Btooom! is an action/psychological drama series. The MC of btooom! is 6 years older than Kirito.. Btooom! does not take place in a VR world. etc.. etc.. |
| ^Too many SAO fans looking for something similar I guess lol. But Shit Art Online is not even in the same caliber as Btooom. This series is way grittier and brutal compared to SAO and isn't as retarded. Once the show progresses, then people will actually see the differences like its not in a virtual world like you said. Till then, let people make their complaints saying shit like the MC is dumb as fuck lol. Trust me, he isn't like Shinji from NGE- annoying throughout. By ep 3 we'll see Ryouta taking charge probably |

| This show will probably become SAO's rival as it goes on. Though it had it's flaws in it's Pilot episode, It's great nonetheless. Loved the OP and the ED. It fits the show, really. To those people who are judging this show already, Please just stop 'cause it's just the first episode. It will become better i suppose. Just like the OP singer said "THE GAME HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN" |

| Mixed feelings about this one. During the opening scene, I thought Btooom's gameplay wasn't very entertaining. It's very strategic with the absence of any guns and the variation of bombs that a player can use but it wasn't great to watch. Their battle suits couldn't be more generic either. I'm very glad the show decided to focus on the real world Btooom and I enjoyed the mystery island setting very much. It'll be interesting to explore the psychological effects of killing in the real world compared to killing in the game. Next ep looks promising. I'm eager to find out why each person was brought to island to play this twisted game. |
| Reminded me of Mirai Nikki. Loner protagonist thrown into a death game struggling to survive. However, I enjoyed it and look forward to this anime getting better! |

| Holy smokes! That was fun. Removing the cliche stuff like guns and knives and only using bombs. I actually kinda like the protagonist so far... his actions are terrible in real life... but yeah, I can't wait to see more of Sakamoto's hardships. And Himiko is hot! The OP is quite good. |

| From where do writers/directors get the idea that using gunshots/bombs everywhere makes it more exciting? Many explosions + No harm = Kills the excitement And that was extremely retarded how long it took him to figure out it was a timer...are you for real? | I has watched first episode and then remembered I had read Btooom manga. I got bored with it - I completely disliked the direction of the story. Yawn-worthy. I guess i can ignore this anime safely. |

| I'm a fan of the Btooom! manga so I'm watching this anime. I haven't looked through the 10 pages of this thread, but am I the only one who thinks the voice actor's voice for Sakamoto just doesn't match up to expectations? I was expecting something deeper, similar to that of Light (Death Note).........but instead, he sounds like a kid. |
