I hope you aren't implying you're going to skip the first 252 episodes and start watching from here. I checked your list and Gintama wasn't listed under complete, so I'm really hoping you just mean it'll get you motivated to start watching from episode 1. It's a series that, albeit you'd assume otherwise, heavily relies (especially the comedy in every single episode) on you knowing the characters, all their relationships with one another, personalities, quirks, past experiences, and so on. Skipping is one of the stupidest things you could possibly do and a surefire way to ruin over half of the enjoyment you'd get out of this series. You could still "love it" even without that, but you'd be enjoying it at "fullest" at about half of what you COULD be enjoying it, effectively ruining the show for yourself by ruining all of it's potential even if you enjoy it regardless. This is even MORE TRUE if you ended up watching a later episode before watching all the prior ones - if you like the show doing THAT then you'd love it ten times MORE if you actually gave it the chance to make that happen, by starting at the beginning. You're basically taking an unseasoned steak over the most delicious meal of your life simply because it takes too long to bother making it into that and tastes okay enough as it is, and this line of thinking with something as silly as watching a TV show is just retarded, especially if you really like the show. Why would you PURPOSEFULLY lower your maximum enjoyment possibility? I don't get that at all. Why say "well I'm fine with 50% of it because its still great XDDD" when all you have to do to get WAY MORE THAN THAT is just watch more of a show you like? I'm frustrated just thinking about it, people who skip around just because it's a comedy are the worst. It's 253 episodes so far - it still starts at fucking 1, and for A REASON, just like every other fucking anime, video game, book, and everything else. The beginning, middle, and end, are all done that way on purpose, it's not just thrown at random - not even for a series like Gintama, rather ESPECIALLY not for a series like Gintama that HEAVILY relies on humor based on the development you just skipped all of. Hell, theres so much subtle really well done shit that you only get if you've watched EVERY episode that shows up in every single episode that even people like me who have seen it a few times will end up noticing new things in later rewatches - and going in blind over 250 episodes late you're missing almost everything but the basic jokes and references, which are far less often there in comparison and something the show rarely ever focuses on - and even DURING those sorts of things still has those references back to prior episodes or character developments. |

| What the hell man, I came for Gintama and got this cheesy looking knockoff show called Kintama. I had to close my eyes halfway through the opening because Kin-san's hair was so fabulous and radiant that it was hurting my eyes. I am like so mad right now. I am going to fly to Japan and burn their house down. |

| I finished the previous series about a month ago but I've already missed Gintama so much! And now it's back~~ at its best, I'd say. I really liked the first episode. Can't wait for the next one! (I will miss my Gintama marathons but I'm really glad it's back and that I didn't have to wait so long for other eps). |
