THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I'm happy that Iruga and Keough met before they died
Alice, Zealotus and Maya -friendship of humans and monsters
Maya's threw her pride and money just to destroy the crystal
I don't know if Takius really died considering her Staff went there by itself
Judia with his baby from Iruga -the flashback where she remove or clothes, so that was it
and lastly Roan and Yufa a newly wed..

*Anyone know the history of Alice

*The story is really good, somehow the director made the 2 main character very annoying.. but still
Live well - Laugh often - and Love much

I think they should start making a sequel to the first series back in 2004. It's only a matter of time.

This anime has potential but the plot and the story is horribly executed to the point that it doesn't make sense sometimes. The fanservice,(that i dont really mind btw) but the hidden innuendos is mind blowingly disgusting that it makes me want to stop watching it smh. A big dissapointment for my case, i love this anime when i was young but now i seen the truth and it SUCK. 4/10 there are somewhat plots that i like, and Maya is the best character in the anime.

hoping for some sequel though, the story was good but the execution and adaptation was not following the game rule, best fighting scene from all over episodes, fanservice scene was for adult but overall fighting scene look like for children or maybe was too lazy to make some good fighting scene

I must counteract all the negative comments. I really loved this anime since I was a kid. I read and heard a lot of negative comments such as, poor execution, poor game adaptation and annoying characters. But hey, the secret of appreciating the anime is just setting aside the GAME. Watch it like you haven't played it or watch it like you don't even know the game. That's the best way to watch this anime. Focus on the storyline. It's good to have little spoilers before watching. It's best if you only read positive reviews before watching and then the negatives after you finished the series so, you can compare. About the fanservice, I have nothing negative to it. It makes me smirk a bit sometimes. I watched the whole series a ton of times and I never fail to be entertained. I rate it 10/10, that's how much I loved this anime. I'm 25 now and I am still watching it.

I am hoping for a sequel. A continuation rather than going for the side stories.

Finally, a decent action scenes without Roan getting on my nerves. Well, most of them do annoy me but this is a good ending either way.

I really am sad to see this story's characters and adventure ended that way but my feelings for Ragnarok are still there all the way to support it. This would've been a great story if they were animated a bit different in a way that does makes sense without any bad executed moves every frame.

Overall, I enjoyed it but not as much as to love it for it really needs fixing. If there is a continuation (well I doubt it since its been 10+ years since this was animated), I hope it won't be a horrible one like this even if I love the characters.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Overall, the show was pretty good as far as the world adventuring had many places and people to see. I didn't care for the overly used name 'Ragnarök' though, seems like there are a million shows with that name.

The part I didn't like at all was the characters' relationships. All too often each character was basically ripped on to the point of leaving the party, treated like dirt, did something downright awful or immoral. To me it seemed like the story was being pushed out in an effort to pull at our heartstrings, but instead, just made me really angry that everyone couldn't get a clue.

By far my least favorite character was Roan, whiny at the start, pompous jerk halfway in, then at the end. And of course, next is Yufa because she was so unbelievably stupid when it came to her brother (they were all stupid about this). I was disappointed Roan didn't leave her for good, and she should have just left the show completely. I could go on all day, don't get me started about the others :)

All that considered, Ragnarök was all right but not worth a second watch. I give it about 1.9 stars.

I'm happy to finally be through and to have finished this pile of garbage. It seems like one of those anime where you know there was much more potential to have been gained but instead they just made nearly every character brainless and it's just a shame knowing the series could've been that much more greater than what it was. I have absolutely seen much worse but this was still nothing to look back on and think "Oh yeah, I can see myself re-watching this fore sure.." Errmm nah! I haven't played the game and have read a lot of comments posted from people who have claimed how they were so disappointed after watching this. I can imagine it would be that much worse. On the bright side though, not all of it was complete cringe but I'd have to say that a majority of it was.

A remake would be wonderful or add up sequels up to the current KR server's patch.

Finished myself, i wanted to finish what i started sadly. Characters, plot, everything was awful. Yuufa was annoying spoiled brocon bi*** who used roan as fcking rug. Roan was hardcore pervert simp who turned into mindless crusader who was even more annoying . Same goes for Takius blindly following master words. Maaya was annoying child but at least her story make me bit sad for her. Arrow girl and iruga were best couple and characters at least. Villains were trash and boring especially ending was painful to watch, i saw better acting in porn. Anyway sorry man for writing essay but i agree with u.

@Sekiro94 Haha. No need to apologize! My essay was a good read as well.. ;p
BTW, I know how you feel when you say that you wanted to finish what you started. I'm the same way with anime. I've watched every single anime under the "completed" section of my list from beginning to end. I always have to finish what I start because sometimes a series can bloom into something spectacular later on. This is why I don't abide by the "3 episode rule" and think people who do so have missed out on so many incredible experiences. The only ones I've "dropped" are due to my mind not being able ignore the horrible CGI in an anime.

Yea bad cgi is.such a turn off. But u clearly noticed that most of animes with out of this world animation ppl love cuz even tho character are shi* or plot is unbearable they always say omg they "animated this so godlike" like animation is save point. Anyways if u have some good animes to share in all ears, and i love old ones.

@Sekiro94 @Sekiro94 Yeah for sure haha! There are definitely folks who say such things in regards to animation to the point where it's as though they attempt to use it as an excuse for a redeeming quality in an otherwise terribly executed series. It's like, "It's okay. I understand you secretly loved watching the anime so no need to go so far. I won't scold you for enjoying whatever floats yr boat." I dunno, perhaps I'm wrong. I acknowledge how everyone has their own opinions and tastes so in the end I wouldn't ever go to the extent of telling others they are wrong to have liked what interests them. A series can indeed have spot on animation but that's definitely not all that's required to make a good anime. I've seen plenty anime with great plots, characters and their developments, respectful/faithful adaptaions from the source material, and proper pacing etc. but with animation that wasn't as up to par as what I had hoped and they were still really good! One example off the top of my head would have to be an anime which ended up being one of my favorite of hidden gems and that was Kaze no Youjinbou. It's one series that is also rated rather low so it's an underdog hidden gem in my opinion. Another good anime that was in the same underdog/hidden gem category was The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye. Master Keaton is another great series. Especially when you're watching multiple anime and want one in the list that's of a more episodic nature but is still overall relevant. Let's see, I really enjoyed R.O.D. (Read or Die) OVA and the R.O.D. TV series. I liked how it was a more unique approach to anime where there are girls with supernatural abilities. These are all fairly older and less popular titles. Also, you're more than welcome to sift through my "completed" list. I think I'm a bit generous with my ratings.. but I just love anime. xD I'd recommend any series in the 9-10 zone. Some 7 and 8s are great as well. It all depends on what you like or feel like watching in the moment too.

@Sekiro94 Yeah I completely understand what you mean in regards to older anime. That's not to say that there aren't some good and/or unpredictable/take you by surprise writing to be found amongst a few minds of newer generation adapted anime and mangaka. But they are definitely more spread out than they once were. Perhaps their prominence has diminished due to the increase of the populous since the 80s and 90s, making it so there are more mangaka who are pushing to get their series adapted into anime. I think many of the big wigs in charge of selecting what is or isn't to be adapted are partially to blame for the sheer amount of predictable genres and story premises in today's world. I'm actually watching an anime from the mid 90s (?…) called Fushigi Yugi. It's an early Isekai. So far it's had some good laughs blended in with the drama of the plot. I like how unexpected the humor is in many older series. Like, "Whaaat?! As if they just said that sh!t. Hahah! I wouldn't be surprised if you've already seen it cuz yeah, it wasn't until after I sent you the previous recommendations that I noticed how many anime you've completed! Wowza! I thought I'd seen a lot.
I've also got X in my watching list. It's a late 90s Madhouse anime But I ended up watching 5 or 6 eps years ago and forgot about it so I'm also currently rewatching it. Also, if you haven't yet then be sure to check out Vampire D movie from the 80s. It's based off a 4 volume LN series. And speaking of Madhouse, in late 90s/early 2000s they adapted one of the 4 Vampire D LNs into a pretty badass film. Hells is another good Madhouse movie full of eye candy animation. There's another interesting mid 90s series I remember watching about a year ago now but I can't remember the name… It was done by the same studio who did Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's a good adventure series! I'll try to remember the name of it. Another interesting older anime was Fantastic Children. There's a studio called BeeTrain and they have a certain charm to their anime. I don't know what it is about them but their adaptations always leave me with a deep nostalgic feeling. I think they did Noir and El Cazador de la Bruja.
Anyways, apologies for the long ass messages! It's just that I could go on forever when talking about different series that have left an imprint on me. Also, if you have any suggestions then I'm all ears too! I'm not picky either and enjoy all sorts of genres. Out of all genres, I find Ecchi/over the top fan service to be kinda mehh and predictable in my opinion but I've also seen some awesome ecchi series so I'm open to any suggestions. For example, when it comes to fan service, I found I enjoyed the series Freezing. I don't avoid the genre but rather I think I enjoy others more.
Anyways, ✌️peace out and good talk! lol.

I saw few of animes u mentioned, they were good, ty for some i didnt still saw like vampire D or noir, or from madhouse hell. Ill give it a try. Yea in old animes there is simplicity and still can be unexpected comedy and some scenes. There is some clishe moments like in new animes but animation i like more in old looks more realistic and drama today is way forced, old animes reproduce it better. U said if i can recommend some animes, i have it lot. JIigoku sensei Nube from 96' its teacher who is fighting demons and helping students, its quite fun to watch and subtle romance is great. Itazura na kiss from 2008 may be most complete romance i seen. Ik frustration from audience cuz of main guy was kinda prick but it was all worth drama throught whole series, it had so many unexpected moments and it gone fully marriage, school, job, kids. Its just complete pack. Ichigo mashimaro from 2005 is just chill comedy Sol of some random girls that is just such entertaining and so fun to watch i did rewatched few times, comedy killed it. Hanasakeru seishounen from 2009, it may be reverse romance but it got one of best reverse i seen, it had politics, drama everything even dept to every character plus romance conclusion. Grenadier from 2004, i loved action of this anime, bit ecchi but not rememberable, it had lots of good fighting scenes and characters were cool. Gokusen from 2004 as well is delinquent school with yakuza female teacher was such a fun and good anime, comedy gold good, animation ofc addicting for that time. Full metal panic 2002, damn comedy gold anime, really enjoyed it plus romance was not in focus but i loves growth of it. Azumanga daioh from 2002, chill school comedy with wtf comedy moments just its relaxing af. Claymore 2007, damn this anime had such good animation for that year, had chilly gore elements and great story and characters, it was filles with so mucj death and drama and great action scenes, one of the most underrated shows i saw. And i would go on and on with many shows. Sorry for long essay. I should check more good old animes that i can try. I love the simplicity and unexpected things in oldies.
