| Boy is obvious girl, almost too obvious... perhaps it's a trap of a reverse trap! xD My guess would be that the rest of the world is quite keen on spying on this wonder boy who apparently can control IS:eses (wtf is the plural world?) which is the cause of all these transfer students. Any way am I the only one who think the tight-ass german chick will also fall for Ichika after he manages the defeat her in combat? That or she's going to win the contest and go on a date with him (^.^) |

| I get the feeling they will screw around for another 6 loosely connected episodes and then fail trying to staple a dramatic story to the end. It's watchable though. |

| This show is exuberantly stupid. I think that using Kana Hanazawa for the trap is part of this. Use the seiyuu whose voice is synonymous with femininity and the viewers will be in on the joke. Ran seemed fun. I think they should rename the show to Infinite Facepalm. |
| I laughed so much during this episode it was amazing! I don’t know why I laughed hardest but it happened anyways when Ichika had that expression after eating Cecilia’s sandwiches I am usually lazy but the GIF just makes me laugh constantly so here it is, Also Houki got the upper-hand in this episode. So when Cecilia have such as turn? About the beginning, it was quite unique to have Ichika be with his friend and introduce Ran his sister. She is rather very attractive by her looks and her blushing. Her brother made quite the fool himself by not telling her. Strangely enough he was smart enough of all the cast of this series so far to notice Ichika’s dense behavior even while not being in school with him. Looks like Ran with her brother own a restaurant. Apart from that I will address the issues of Charles Dunoa and Laura Bodewig although we will have to wait for next episode to learn more about her and some more of Charles. About Charles Dunoa, I think she made way too many mistakes. I have more than enough proofs that he is a female and that’s apart from the voice only. I just feel like enumerating them. At first Charles does not look that bad for a design, I mean she has a nice hair style, a beauty perfect waist and the most DFC qualifications. She has a very interesting shaped necklace as most likely the medium she uses to summon her IS. First proof was given by her reaction to Ichika grabbing her hand. Second proof is another reaction in the man’s locker room and telling Ichika not to look? Dead give away. Last proof is the complete red face shy factor and that is apart from all the other minor reactions giveaways. What came interesting about Charles is that his family is the largest producers of IS in France. I am suspecting something there. About Laura Bodewig, there is not much to say about her since she is introduced at the very last minutes of the episode. What I like about her is her eye patch. According to the OP it looks to have some powers or could just be there as the medium to summon her IS. What was most interesting is that slap of hers that Ichika has a nasty mark of. Too bad Houki did not bitch-slap her back. It looks like she also has a problem of accepting Ichika being Chifuyu’s brother. As to why is that, I am hoping to find in the next episode. The changing scene as you mentioned was also very obvious like you mentioned guys wont be ashamed when there changing together. I think they asked her to enter as a boy to get closer to Ichika, he is a point of interest for other country's and company's since he is the only boy able to operate a IS. And the best way to get close to a boy in a academy full of girls is by entering a other boy, since a girl would be just another girl in the academy to him. But there no other guys around so the would naturally form a friendship since there are things which you only talk about with someone from the same gender. | So: - Houki, I like your straightforwardness this time, and it seems this episode is more for you than Charles. Three cheers for you. - Charles's reverse trapness is so obvious it seems like a meta joke. That is, the producers know us viewers have our r/trap radar on so they put on no pretense that she's in disguise. - Laura's appearance kinda came unannounced, but I liked the surprise. Judging from the promo picture from chartfag though, the five girls (Houki, Cecilia, Rin, Charlotte, and Laura) will be all. Also nice to see someone who doesn't fall head-over-heels to Ichika's purported pre-pubescent studliness. -Lastly, isn't it supposed to be Rafale Revive (that is, as in the French jet fighter Rafale R-M01) rather than Raphael? If so, then Ms. Instructor's machine is the same as Dunois' (assuming people watch Ayako's release). Also I sure as heck liked the fact she just pulled a Milkor MGL on Rin's/Cecilia's combined arse. なんかシュールですね、これｗｗｗ EDIT: To the above: *sigh*, thanks for the info. That means there will be 5 girls for Ichika alone. Must suppress urge to want to kill him ASAP. | This show is getting worse every episode. The cast is getting way too big for just 12 episodes, and they keep focusing more and more on the harem aspects of the show. The only reson I'm still watching this is because I like to have a good action anime to watch during a new season, but IS isn't even doing a good job at that. |
| Charles is really Charlotte. Anyone can tell that's a girl. Why is Germany so hardcore? Before the series is over, she'll probably be in love with Ichika too. I was going to drop this show if nothing interest happened by ep 5. I'm going to stick around because now we've got a cross dresser, an angry lesbian, and that unmanned IS that attacked ep 4. |

| Haha, the episode even starts out with Ichika being too thick-headed to understand anything. Even the other guy felt sorry for Rin! ^^ You could tell from the beginning 'Charles' was a girl. The way she reacted when Orimura grabbed her hand gave it away immediately and after that the whole changing scene... I just was way too obvious. >.< Can't believe he invited everyone onto the roof for lunch. Ichika at it again... Being all tsunderes, they all conveniently made lunch, BUT IT WAS FOR OTHER REASONS! xD After that ANOTHER transfer student appears? This time it's an eye patched girl from Germany; Laura. She doesn't seem to friendly though. What the hell was that slap and her not accepting him as Chifuyu's brother supposed to mean? |

| OK it was not bad. Wow Yamada surprised me I wasn't expecting that she is so good, I would gladly see Chifuyu in the fight. Finally, some normal girl .. Thank God. I wonder... This school is not closed, students can go to town, so how can it be that no girl in school does not have a boyfriend and chasing Ichika. But this guy is amazing how he can be so blind... | With all the main character intros done I hope that it can now focus on whatever story this series is based on, if it has one. I would like too see more of the girl with the red hair that appeared at the beginning. She is sexier than the others. Anyway, I hope that this new girl from Germany can bring something interesting into the story and that it at least takes some time before she too falls for Ichika. Also when will Charles true identity be revealed? |
| I was really expecting much of this anime, finally it's going bad through episodes. The Harem was a bit abused, but okay, i've pass on this, and now a boy who's blushing just because an other boy is holding his hand? WTF? Furthermore this guy is french (shame on this guy who's putting a shame on France... we (us French) aren't that type of guy ...). Hoping there'll be a plot in this anime because it's begin to be boring |

| While I certainly understand everyone's gripes with this show, I'm still enjoying myself immensely. -Ichika seems to have gotten denser regarding everyone's fascination with him. "It's because we're the only guys that can pilot IS"? Yeesh. His friend should've just told him what was up. -The "official" harem just about doubled with the addition of Charles, Yamada-sensei, and his friend's sister, but the last two are debatable and I only say official seeing as just about the entire school body save his sister is trying to jump his bones. -Speaking of Charles, maybe it's because I'm too used to her voice, but Kana Hanazawa's boy voice is not convincing at all. Maybe it's to accentuate how obvious it is that he's a she. -Laura Boedwig: keepin' the pimp hand strong. -Ichika's couple-y interactions with Houki continue to be cute, even if he has no clue about how she feels about him. Honestly, if they don't end up together, I'll be surprised/pissed. Even if he is dumb as a sack of bricks, I don't think they'd show those kind of scenes if the relationship wasn't going to go anywhere. Regardless, IS is definitely the "Star Driver" of the season for me. Generic? Sure. Entertaining? Definitely. |

| This is the first time I find myself liking all the female characters that have a love interest on the lead male character. Although in the end, I want him to end up with Houki, I don't think I'll be that disappointed if he doesn't. Also Charles is so cute? Although hopefully by now everyone knows that he's not really a ? | Hm, I just realized something. Did any girl ever openly praise Ichika for whatever quality? IIRC, all they do is either ask him out or trying to get near him or (in the case for his harem) exacting painful-looking punishment. If so, then Charles(lotte) is the first one to actually say a good thing about him. Which could mean that, in a very roundabout way, Ichika's reverse-trap radar is on so strong that in his subconscious he realized that Charles is Charlotte. Anyways, I'm somehow finding myself rooting for Houki, and if spoilers are to be trusted (so far they haven't failed yet), Laura. |

And considering that as soon Charles walked in everyone fell in love with him too, every girl in this show must be completely desperate, which is annoying. I'd like to see him actually develop a relationship with someone, instead of it being one sided all the time. |

It makes sense XD Houki is getting a lead, but it was weird when he didn't seem to notice much when she asked him out if she won the championship. You think that would have an effect. Not much really happened this episode it seemed though. |
