| I liked that Saji finally got a power up and that his powers are so dark. |
| Full volume is out now~ So Rossweisse takes the spotlight of this volume by asking Issei to become her boyfriend. No surprise there since she is on the cover so I figured she would be the star. I thought she acted kinda like a kid this volume though. Well, she got her date alright and that's no surprise either, or at least it shouldn't be. She looked good I guess according to Issei's impressions. And boy did he have fun in the bath. I bet it was probably misinformation about the girl's dorm but whatever. We get Evil Dragon Grendel this volume as well and some action. I didn't find it too exciting although I liked the teamwork that Issei utilized. Euclid was also pretty awesome. Aftermath, it looks like Gondur recognize Issei as Rossweisse's boyfriend. Well, there's a slight development there. Basically, Rias and the other girls got more to worry about now. Actually, I don't think Rias have much to worry about based on the final lines of the New Life chapter but the other girls like Ravel and Asia does... Seriously, rock-paper-scissors decides so many things these days. |

| I've no idea that Asia-tan panties turned out to be a deadly weapon against the dragons. All hail panties! I'll never underestimate you from now on. It's such a pity that Rossweisse-san didn't get to kiss Ise at the end by saying it's a shameless things to do. This is why worthless pride always get in the way! I also learn now that there are two ways to defeat the evil dragon, either they get cursed by Saji balance breaker and let them perished at the same time or sealed them with Kuroneko sealing technique. Aah this will just makes me think that all the effort Sairaorg and Issei put into defeating Grandel was all for naught since there's such an easy ways to defeat all these evil dragons. Next will be Irina-tan arc. I wonder if the khaos brigade will also come to heaven to make a ruckus there but considering Irina-tan is the daughter of that important ace of the angel bla2 Michael (wait a minute! Since when Michael was Irina's father!?) and if they resort to despicable ways such as kidnapping, the probability is high I think. |

| Thought this was a great volume. Probably my favorite since volume 10, at least action wise. My favorite moments of this volume were, Issei + Saerorg vs Grendel, with Ladon interfering. That was just so damn intense. Got to love those brutal fist to fist fights. Coming in a close second was the climax with Issei vs Euclid, being a lot more technical, showing of his new techniques with using the little dragons by switching with DDraig & Albion's powers, then finishing it of with using Longinus Smasher through his own powers for the first time. Then some others were, seeing Lirenkus again. Hope he becomes and predicting now that he becomes part of Issei's peerage one day, being one of his knight pieces. Sanji going balance breaker. Koneko sealing Grendel, think we just have seen her path to getting the merits for becoming a middle class demon. And of course, but that wasn't a moment but just the whole volume, the Rossweisse - Issei interactions and her becoming part of Issei's harem. |

| We actually don't know what effect Saji's BB would have on the legendary Evil Dragons. As for the sealing technique, they need to be unable to move, meaning they need to be beaten pretty badly first. Yap30 said: Next will be Irina-tan arc. Irina is Michael's Ace, and her father is the leader of a Church and took part in the events with Belial's cousin. |
| This volume was a GREAT read! spend the last 4 hours to read it and it was definitely worth it. Issei's new powers are awesome, he's also getting a few tactics of his own with his wyverns, which is sweet! The dragons are crazy strong... I still remember how shocked I was at Saiaorg his strength a few volumes but he does it again against Grendel. The fight overall was fun to read, saji's powerup, koneko's "Shirone-mode^^(please get this animated in 2020)", fafnirs special technique xP.. but man.. I didn't expect Belial to be the traitor, that really suprised me. Especially since Issei looks up to him, he'll also be shocked if he finds out about it. I'm also curious to know who his relative is who was in charge of kuou town before Rias. (It's supposed to be mentioned in volume 3, but i'm too lazy to look it up :P, maybe one of you guys do know it?) and now we will have to wait for the translation again.. I'd rather wait for the full translation so I can read it in one go, I find it more fun that way :p |

| First re-read of volume 17. This volume focused primarily on Rossweisse and the Rating Game School. The volume starts off with a date with Rossweisse. The group head to the new school that was part of Sona and Saji's dream, it was nice seeing all the kids having fun and getting the opportunity they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. The fight against the evil dragons begin. Ise and Saji fight against Grendel and Ladon, Sairaorg came to help, but it was Koneko who sealed away Grendel in one of Ise's gems. Vritra returns and Saji finally enters Balance Break mode, and it looks sick as fuck from the illustration. Fafnir makes his appearance and that was funny as hell. Poor Asia... Ise finally defeats Euclid by using both Red and White dragon powers and the forbidden Longinus Smasher move. A good volume for the Ise x Rossweisse shippers out there. |
