| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Spinny spinny goes the platform. Seems like this game is pure luck, in which case Shirube would probably win with his intuition. There's no way it actually is, though. I would have tried to mark a side of the platform, but the spin pretty much makes that visual/touch component useless. What's left is sound and smell. Hmmm.... Edit: Y'know, it seems like those speakers under the platform are only being shown on the three walled sides on the last page. Not sure what to make of that. |

| Shirube having given Zero a warning really recontextualized my way of seeing him. I was stuck on the first interpretation, that he was trying to scare his competitors away. However, that was not the case, this kid has some good will. He's just kind of bad at communication, he could have said much more, but he's also said like two things the entire series. He's also using a fake name and has a godly sense of intuition which guides him through even the hardest of gambles. I felt some anxiety as I realized what the upcoming gamble was going to be and Zero was blindfolded while being raised. Steel ball crushing, finger cutting, math drowning, and blind jumping. Yep, they continue to stay interesting. |
