| Seriously, what the fuck did I just watch. It started off interesting but in the end didn't explain a single thing. It looked like they were shipping off to go to war... next thing we know the floating island is taking off/crashing? Not even sure what happened there at all. It looks like some queen is orating about it, then the main character sees her and almost flips shit. Apparently it's a ceremony for them to fly from point A to B... and they're suddenly entering some academy that we don't know what it even teaches. Then he meets a girl who reacted in the most bizarre way I've ever seen (but it was humorous at least)... apparently she's not the brightest person out there; first she runs past the person she's running from, only to realize she can't hide out in the open, and because a random stranger fixed her bike chain that's cause to let him steer her own bike and ride her home (she must want to die). And after showing off how insane her balance, they crash and her reaction is "Oh, so we crashed." Then she simply accepts that he's throwing water at her, right after crashing her bike. Suddenly when he grips her in a tight embrace she's either trying to play dead, or she's doing charades as a bird, either way what? Not to mention we have that silver haired guy who apparently hates the MC's guts. Have to say, after only just now reading the series description, I'm surprised to see that all it did was make it even more unintelligible . I mean, it wasn't all bad... but I can't help but be a little taken back by it's lack of sense. The scene where his sister was crying was pretty damned funny. I seem to be the only one confused though, so maybe it's just me... but hopefully the next episode will make a bit more sense. Mills said: That's sort of a spoiler right there, since he didn't seem to like the name "Nina Viento". But oh well, all it really tells me is that she's apparently someone he unkowingly hates. And could possibly explain the way she reacted when he approached her. |

I agree with what someone else said about this feeling kind of like a film instead of a TV series. Although that one scene where the MC went all highly palpable murderous intent on us really threw me off. As for the romance...Carl here did what it takes others at least 13 episodes to accomplish. The only think I took out of this is that they're apparently going to start going to this academy, in which they'll be training to fly their planes. Apparently the sister thinks he wants to be there, but he doesn't. The only logical conclusion for the silver haired guy's evil stares, and Carl understanding them, that I can think of is that they know each other... which from the series description (which I normally try not to read) could possibly make sense. Also, that hugging bit made zero sense whatsoever... it normally takes 13 episodes because normally the main love interest isn't retarded/a whore, and honestly I wish it was the latter here. But whatever, as you said it's only the first episode, and since the second one's already out there's no use complaining. And I agree, the ominous last line or two sounded like it might be getting darker soon. And the intro made it seem pretty sad as well. Judging by him saying he wouldn't let anyone else die, and the fact that his sister wasn't in the plane... I think it's clear what happens. |
| Holy shit that was great, great visual, a fun setting, decent character set, and already set in stone romance. My problem is still with the OP and ED, much like any other show of the season that I've watched, for some reason I am not feeling it. I might get used to it later on but for now they're not impressive. The voice acting, hmm, I thought that Ari's voice acting at the crying part was sorta weird, not sure if that was intended. The Nun or whoever narrating or giving speech, she sounded too monotone, but sometimes tried to mix in some feelings into her voice, that's a failure imo. I had a few laugh out of this episode too, the first one being the silver haired dude failed landing, following by Cruz's uneasiness after meeting the protagonist, ran to the wrong direction, and couldn't voice out, and co.. Edit: And people, it's not love at first sight, it happened after that, and we don't even know if it's love. |

| Liking this already The romance came so fast, Claire Cruz is such a hottie There are so many comparisons to make like "To aru" having an Index The Floating Island coming from Final Fantasy or any other RPG Or setting similar to Fractale or Last Exile which would be the closest one The airplanes looked so cool, is Kal El's sister voiced by Kirino or Aya Hirano? |

| Pretty good, if a little bit too fast for me to take in everything. Seems like MC got taken in by Ariel's family. Looking forward to seeing what direction the series takes, because right now I'm not really sure what type of show it's trying to be. |

| 5/5 If it were not for the graphics more often sparse and the thunderbolt too surreal, the rest is fine and has enormous potential. Good animations, CG is not too irritating. Characters that appear to have the potential to emerge, for now the costume and the character design distinguishes them pretty well, they just acquire thick character. The plot reminds me of series like Last Exile, I hope not ruin the series. Screenplay bad. For now, my vote is for 7/10! |

| The parallels to Last Exile are obvious, given that there aren't that many anime which feature propeller-power aircraft, dog fights and so on. It even starts out with a floating island, which kinda reminds me of the actual "Exile" given it's size, and how they showed of the unanchoring. I wonder how that big airplane from the start can lift off though, it didn't feature any vertical propellers (which they showed off just a moment before on the regular planes..). Could certainly develop into a little more "down-to-earth" (no pun intended) Last Exile, which sometimes got a bit crazy with it's plot. |
| Good episode. I really enjoyed it :) I don't see how the romance was too fast or felt forced at all. He helped her with her bike, they went riding, fell in the pond/lake and played in it. Felt very natural to me. Sure he liked her when he spent a day with her, that's how it usually is when you meet someone you are very taken with. I don't think it was fast at all. now if he gets down on one knee and proposes sure it escalated quickly but just liking her after a day together seems rather normal. anywho, looking forward to whats next! loved the animation as well! |

| Mmm, the setting is interresting. Living up in the sky and the clouds have a romantic vibe. Since I'm studying in aeronautics, I couldn't help but laugh at the planes design and how easily they get up like an helicopter or the Harrier xD The romance take a fast start. But we can already see it coming, his commoner identity will cause him problem with her noble origin. Also, Natsuki Hanae isn't a bad seiyu, in fact he's pretty good, but he always make angry kid seeking revange, which is not the kind of character I'm really fond into :/ Though, Ayana Taketatsu always know how to make good imouto :P The character in general seem generic. We have the angry teen looking for revenge, the cute imouto that cares a lot for his brother but hide it, the rival that hate him for a reason we don't know and the love interrest who is a lovable excentric person. Oh well, we'll see if there is good devellopment. Those two guy he met at the dorm have such a big death flag on their head :P He will get close to them, then they will get killled and it will increase his rage. |
