Whoa, I'm liking this OP song! It might not be earth shattering but there's a sense of symbolism there. There's some awkward scenes but the relationship between the main characters are beginning to build up now. I can feel it.

Much better than the first episode. Really good atmosphere and characters.

Yes! I totally love the relationship between Frank and Harriet. They are way more interesting that the main "protagonist". I'd rather the anime focuses on them to be honest. Lol.

i actually really enjoy the opening song, simple but nice.

loving the character designs, especially Sue's.

my #1 hope is that there won't be any weird romance between the little girl and the protagonist. it's all i'm asking for

(getting serious NGE vibes over here with those aliens, just name them angels and they'll be identical)

That speech Grandpa gave really felt like it came straight from his heart, making statues for the friends he's lost in war, I actually looked up what Yōsei means, the world they translated as elf, and it means "bewitching spirit" and can be written with the symbols 妖精, which mean "fine" and "demon", it really makes that scene so much more beautiful.
I wish I knew japanese and picked up on subtle things like that whenever I was watching a show.

Solid episode. Really liked the action, a bit confused on some things that happened though. Also, why don't they draw the noses half the time lol?

I'm liking it. I have high hopes for this.

So Hattie suffers from PTSD and saw her parents evaporated in a past attack by the aliens. She can communicate to Frank somehow, likely due to her necklace since they focused on it quite alot. It might also be her innocent, naive nature which is similar to the newly reborn Frank.

I'm sure it's partially do to budget limitations, but the show seems limited in it's movement. Some things happen in the show but aren't show but rather directly implied for the viewers to grasp.

If only the first episode was this good. The "Frank" mecha is awesome in both design and behaviour, so I'm glad to see it appears to be the main mecha of the anime.

Takuto is still boring, unfortunately. It's as if the episode shifted to his perspective at the last minute to let you know that he still hasn't manifested a likeable personality.

I'm utterly confused as to what is happening. Obviously the events of this episode took place after the previous episode, but is the blond girl a young Maki, or does she just bear her resemblance? When the alien was attacking people was the blond girl having flashbacks? There's obviously some connection between the mech, Takuto, and this new character, I'm guessing that's going to be a big component of this show.

Have to say not a big fan of the music or animation style, but the story is so far intriguing. Unlike other people here I liked the first episode a lot more.
