| I believe it takes place some time after Ataraxia, but it's probably not particularly 'canon' in any sense. It still 'fits in' though, as I don't believe it shares any characters with other works. Edited for mistakes made while under the influence: getting Apocrypha mixed in with Fake, what was I doing? |

| oh i see, so they were probably thinking of making it something like Fate/Apocrypha, like a semi-canon story (that's how i view it) but then gave up~ that would explain this is the least talked about part of the franchise, at least from the forums I've read XD thanks btw |

| Wrong ... As stated by type moon, It happen right after the "WHAT-IF" scenario of the 3rd holy grail war. Basically, a 4th grail war in a parallel universe. Same goes with Fate/ Apocrypha. Depending on how the 3rd Holy grail war occur, it will lead to either of the 3, FATE/ZERO, FATE/STRANGE FAKE, or FATE/ APOCRYPHA. |

I have no authority to say this but, you sir, are correct. But I'd make a tiny edit just to make it clearer. Since they say in F/SF that the 5th war was over, there's a Tohsaka in the Clock Tower, and there are rumors about some magus that can make unlimited copies, I'd say F/SF takes place after the Epilogue of FSN UBW (2 years after UBW). But I could be wrong in that detail.
