What anime do you think Discotek should license? Here's a big list! Dog of Flanders (1997 anime movie, once released by Geneon when they were Pioneer Entertainment) Any and all World Masterpiece Theater anime Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair Amuri in Star Ocean Popolocrois Monogatari Fancy Lala Magical Fairy Persia Fairy Florence (or Journey to Fairyland) Please Save My Earth Belle and Sebastian Honey Honey Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics Dr. Slump (the anime. They only have the first 5 movies) Maple Town The Jungle Book - Shounen Mowgli (Yes. There's an anime. I checked) Fighting Foodons Super Pig (or Tonde Buurin. They got the movies) Emily of New Moon The Twins at St. Claire's Maya The Bee Candy Candy Lady Georgie Lady Lady!! and Hello Lady Lynn Swan Lake Haikara-san ga Tooru Little Women (NOT the WMT version, though that'd be a great license. Referring to that older series dubbed by Harmony Gold) |

I'd love to see them get more Harlock, especially Arcadia of My Youth. Would also appreciate FINALLY getting the uncut Japanese versions of the Devilman/Violence Jack OVAs in America. Discotek would probably be the best guys to release that. I'd also like a better looking DVD of Ankoku Shinwa. I know a lot of people would appreciate having a complete set of the 2001 Cyborg 009 series, with an uncut dub. Then maybe they could go back and release the other series, too. I know it's a long shot, but a release of the Japanese version of Crayon Shin-chan - even just a season, or one of the movies - would be marvelous. And as always, more Lupin! |

Zero Tester (1973) Dororon Enma-kun (1973) Getter Robo/Getter Robo G (1974-1976) Great Mazinger (1974) Steel Jeeg (1975) Daikuu Maryuu Gaiking (1976) Danguard Ace (1977) MORE TOEI CLASSICS NOW! Really though, the top of my list would be stuff that is virtually unattainable, even in raw format. Not all of these fit that bill, but some do. |

Looking through the lists here I see several of the titles got picked up: Wicked City Castle of Cagliostro Robot Carnival Shin Mazinger Z Getter Robo Armageddon Night on the Galactic Railroad Which is awesome. I just finished Shin Mazinger Z and it was awesome. I also picked up Robot Carnival at Otakon, which is a nostalgia piece for me. I actually just finally watched my DVDs of Getter Robo Armageddon. I might pick up the Discotek Blu-ray though. And Night on the Galatic Railroad is a big one for me. It was one of my first anime titles. I had a VHS of it years ago but it disappeared at some point and I missed my chance at the old DVD. I will totally be picking this one up. Stuff I would love to see: Re:Cutie Honey (Seriously, I don't know why this has never been licensed. It is great.) Violinist of Hamelin Aishiteruze Baby★★ Black Jack (TV) (I know Anime Sols did this but I missed out on it) Dear Brother (Same I missed out on this) Bronze: Zetsuai Since 1989 Ebichu Kaiba Kuuchuu Buranko |
