| Damn, that actually hit me kind of hard. I didn't feel too much for this scene in the anime. But, the addition of her protecting Shinji, along with the previous chapter put this over the top for me. Interesting that she saw/thought of Gendo before the explosion. |

| That was hard to read. What a way to die. Poor Shinji. Wasn't allowed to save Asuka, was too late to save Rei. Kind of surprised that Rei thought of Gendo while she died and not Shinji... |
