| This is just one of those shows where you either like or hate it (especially for those who have seen the original franchise - I can only imagine how pissed they must be if it really isn't like the original - I have only seen clips and maybe an episode of one incarnation so I'm biased obviously, let me say that now). I don't know how well this show will do, but I think it's pretty different. I like Tsuritama, which has the same director, and I don't know how well that particular show did, but it was different in a good way just like this one. And both, in my opinion, are animes that really draw my attentio in ways I haven't seen in years of watching anime, haha. As for Hajime herself, yeah, she is "very" hyper, but I think it's nice to see a Luffy-estic female character in this type of anime to me. She's more grounded than say Haru Haruko from FLCL, but I think characters like that are interesting if done well. Unfortunately, it's only Episode 4 so we'll see. I hope it ends well, haha (If it pulls a Guilty Crown, I am gonna flip a literate table). |

| I know nothing about the franchiser but from watching the first 4 episodes my impression of the series has been all over the place. The first two episodes where very generic and I was under the impression the whole series would be the same. However these last few episodes have changed my opinion dramatically. The story changed and it did it for the better in my opinion. It went from the generic team of hero fight monsters to something mixed between that and Eden of the East meets Aliens. Hajime is indeed annoying and her out of place personality somehow meshes well with this show. I think within time the show will gain a larger audience but I have doubts that it'll make it past Season 1. |

| I rarely like female MCs, but I like Hajime. And normally I hate characters like her, thinking always positive and are so hyper, but she does it in a very likable way in my opinion. Never watched any Gatchaman show, so for me it's a new, independant anime I enjoy very much and it feels quite exceptional to me. It's rare when everything about a show is just perfect and I'll take advantage of this rare occurance as much as I can. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| I don't think any of you realize how intelligent Hajime is. Yes, her personality can be a bit eccentric at all times, but she's smart and the way she looks at life is amazing. Pai-Pai is the most annoying character of the show but that makes him who he is, I suppose. |

| I take back what I said. She's easily my favorite character now. It took her a while to grow on me. But damn, did she ever. I think Episode 7 is where it hit me. |
| Hajime is a fascinating character and is my favorite; it took a little time for her to grow on me as well, but she was at least interesting from the start. I came to like her, in part, because she blows up some of the conventions of superheros and "typical" anime female leads. Yes, she can be annoying, and if I met someone like her in real life, I would probably want to shove a toilet plunger in her face to get her to shut up, but in the context of the show, she fits well. It takes someone like her to successfully navigate the crazy world in which the story is set. I hope this show is successful; it is a worthwhile response to the original Gatchaman series. It would be nice to see additional shows featuring these characters, but if the story is wrapped up nicely in the twelve episodes of the current series, perhaps it will make sense to retire the characters and the concept so that they don't become stale. (I like the original Gatchaman series, but there are far too many episodes with little plot variation among them; it might have worked better as a concise 12-episode story.) |

| I can kinda live with never seeing more of this anime in particular, but I do wish I'd at least checked the staff list way sooner. It's such a breath of fresh air, I was sure there'd be some crazy talented new blood here. Guess I'm back to waiting for the same bunch. |
| This show gives the same vibe as Tsuritama, probably because of the colour palletes... but I like this waaay better. I don't dislike the Hajime at all I nearly skipped this show because the rating in MAL isn't so good. I'm glad I didn't. |
