This series has really surprised me. Like with many people, i disliked the first 4 or so episodes where the main character was so easy to hate it hurt to watch at times, but it has turned around (for me at least).

It is nice to have a series actually able to kill off people for once rather than having the idiotic circle of "oh he died, no he didn't die barely, oh he died, no he didn't die barely..." Also nice that they veered off the NGE monster hunter angle where they would just go out from their safe base to hunt a new enemy each week. I look forward to seeing just how he takes back japan and the world.

What the hell! Why were Hayase's mom and sister singing? And why did they keep showing it? Did they think it was funny?

Why does Hayase keep saying "I'll become stronger" You're already ridiculously strong...you're just a moron.

Why does Hayase keep asking "Why is this happening?'' It's war, and you're a stupid weakling despite your superhuman strength. Terrible.

Regarding death, Judy wasn't a major character, and didn't we see Hayase's best friend at the end of the last episode? I'd say this show is just as formulaic and afraid to kill people as any other mediocre show.

Honestly, it's been 15 episodes, and we still have the weak-minded Hayase that ran away and shirked at other people from the first episode. The only difference is that he's stronger and has more people to bail him out since his friend "died." I don't think that I can believe whatever happens that turns him into an intelligent, level-headed leader that he needs to be to turn things around.

One of the most lame/funniest (depends on your view) usage of the propaganda machine i have ever seen in an anime.

Everything else was just meh. And yet i'm still watching it...

i wonder what you would do if you were a 14-16 yearold that is not yet an adult, because if he was some 12 yearold who acceptedall of that with out feeling or remorse alot of ppl would say that it is very unrealistic. and clannad gundam00 and code geass and deathnote etc are "formulaic " you dont kiill off chars that can help dev char and plot hence what judy was doing for Hayase so a 14 year old can grow stronger and notice what the real world is cause i know alot of 18 19 and 20+ yearolds that would freak out in his position.

But he's not 12. This is war, and he wants to be a "hero of justice" so he needs to grow up and get smart. He's seen a lot of people die. Everyone else on his team is his age and handling things much more maturely. That's the point...Hayase isn't mature. Not even for his age. His best friend "died" because of him, is constantly bailed out of situations by other people, sometimes resulting in their death, and he just wants to be stronger. Being stronger isn't the solution. Being mature, taking responsibility, and being smart is.

Look, the question is not originality, which Linebarrels is not, the question is when is Hayase going to man up to the responsibility that he hoped, wished, dreamed, boasted, and bragged for? He asked for all of this. Get a pair of balls.

muhaha Judy killed 2 Machinas with one Kamikaze attack ,cool.
I would like it if Juda joins Kato Kikan for some time.

The rabbit song was weird but funny in some way.
