Although it obviously looked strange with the art and colors and strange scenes, it actually made sense and wasn't a bad "story", if 10 minutes counts as one. It's nice with the ending, spent to fix the building as opposed to any other selfish reasons ^^ 6/10. |

The plotting of this is a little bit interesting because since it's so obvious that Lady S is Juliet, the audience knows going into the fight that the orphanage is going to get the money either way, meaning tension has been deliberately dispelled. So the only thing that matters is what the hero experiences. It's a pretty usual story of the hero achieving victory (morally, since the match was actually rigged) by overcoming obstacles in his own mind, but here the obstacle is not fear or despair, but sexual arousal which leads to nostalgia for his lost mother. Having the hero overcome pleasurable feelings is a uncommon twist on the idea. |

Not really my thing, but quite entertaining. 5/10 Props to Tattsun for voicing such a weird character. Didn't really like the style of this show that much. Reminded me too much of those weird American cartoons I used to watch. |

I didn't really like it, I was expecting it to be a bit better. But I was never bored while watching it. I give it a 7/10 |

A simple story (SM love) as excuse for good visuals. It made a great animation demonstration. The only downside for me was that the weird perspectives were at times disruptive. Enjoyment: 3.5+/5 As someone not interested in animation techniques, I would have prefered a shorter showcase. Score: 7/10. Excellent demo, good exploitation of a thin plot. |

I loved how in the end Maskedman M discarded his pleasure moment for the orphanage, too bad he lost anyways. But the great news Lady S saved it instead, I loved those two. There wasn't romance between them, but I get the irony. 7/10. |

If it weren't for my brother, I never would've known that this actually existed. It was an okay watch that was slightly amusing at times and I can definitely see Yuasa's style incorporated into this. It's full of nonsense but it's stylish nonsense~ I wonder what this could amount to if it was able to have the budget for a full-length movie as planned. |

The jokes were decent enough and the animation was pretty cool. A Yuasa production that I don't abhor?--relish this, because it won't last. |

Crazy plot we got here in this 12 min video, so basically CEO guy wants to help an orphanage run by nuns by working in secret as a masochist wrestler who fights an unfair match against a sadist female wrestler who turns out to be the new nun, Boi some people need Jesus lol. The colors were nice and trippy |

neilworms said: I was there too, the short was a visual masterpiece. Only at a Masaaki Yuasa short premiere would a sizable group of people cheer when he mentioned Tiger Mask ;). He's one of the most visual people I have ever met, when I pointed at my dvd and at the autograph where he signed his name, I drew a circle around it with my hand, he consequently drew a circle around his name on the DVD. (I was fortunate enough to also get a priority autograph and while waiting for that). I also got to meet him in person at the breakfast on Sunday, he was telling us about a short that was a big inspiration for him, as well as other creators like Hideaki Anno, Hayao Miyazaki etc, and I pointed to a napkin to write down the name of the show, he instead drew a picture from it. I want to know what this short is, I didn't catch the name - he said it was about a kid struggling to get out of a t-shirt, does anyone have any ideas? So did you find out the name? |

It is nuts/kinda avant garde? The visuals are a fraction of (what I imagine) an acid trip to be. I only came across this because someone used it as the visuals for a fan MV of Jack Stauber’s Buttercup |
