It's doing well for a JC anime, but oh boy a dub would probably sound terrible if it's anything like the Index dub.

Yeah, I'm not sure I would exactly love a dub, but the chances of a dub should be pretty high if it gets picked up in English speaking countries of course. Considering it is a Key anime, it probably will get a dub at some point. Although, I would doubt that it would be completed before Refrain is animated as well.

Wouldn't this cause alot of complication with Kud considering she has trouble speaking English?

Don't underestimate the tv industry. They know how to deal with cases of language- and word-related translation problems. They'll figure out a solution.

what if they made her speak english with trouble speaking Japanese?
that would be awkward.

It depends. I can't remember the last time I saw a dub where they left the fact that they're in Japan in the show, so if they said that the show in the dub takes place in the US combined with the fact that she's already speaking English, it'd-

I don't feel like thinking right now. Whatever.

Baka and test season 2 the episode that focused on shimada being from Germany and adjusting to Japan. The premise is that her Japanese is bad so she misunderstands a lot of things. How they adapted this to English was that she had a thick German accent and didn't seem to understand English. Despite this though, the setting is still in Japan. I think I would view dubs more like a translating thing. Imagine they are still speaking Japanese and they still are Japanese but it's just translated. I mean when a country dubs like Harry potter does that mean its now taking place in China because they are speaking Chinese? No way.

As for a dub, it will probably happen. Sentai picked up licensing for this show. They pretty much licensed all of keys other works except Air and Kanon. Clannad got dubbed and angel beats got dubbed.

Every anime KEY was an origanal creator in has been licensed AND dubbed in the US. With odds like that one would assume this anime will be dubbed. Especially since it is Sentai with the license. But they plan to release it later this year. I know how long it takes to dub an anime. Unless Sentai dubs the episodes days after they air on TV, it is safe to assume this will not be dubbed, just subbed. Now, it is highly possible Sentai dubs the episodes after they air(or before) but if not, then this anime will be subbed because there is no way in hell they can dub an anime with 26 episodes in less than one year unless they plan to butcher the dub.

Sentai does good with dubs so I doubt that'll happen.

Sentai licensed it?

Fuck. They better do a good job with this Key anime. I don't wanna hear another disaster like some of their June 2013 releases. Their Clannad dub was alright but could be better.

Eh I thought it was a pretty good dub. Mainly Tomoyo was not very good, and the recording environment wasn't the best (for whatever reason).

I would of totally auditioned for it if I lived in california, but I guess that dream has gotta be put on hold for now =p. Hopefully they do a better job then they did with the angel beats dub is my main concern.

Nope, it was a pretty weak dub.
Dubs range from shit->passable->good->great->excellent, and Clannad's was around passable. Most of the heroines had crap voice acting, but the comedy execution was fine. The dramatic route execution for Fuko and Kotomi were pretty shit, especially with script localization on top of the voice actors not seeming to give a fuck. Haruhi's dub was much better, to compare to another KyoAni MoeDub.
I've seen plenty of dubs, but Clannad's was pretty bad compared to the original.

I was kidding about being hyped for the Little Busters dub. I'm waiting to see how bad it is.

Well Haruhi is one of the better dubs in general. Mainly because Crispin Freeman is such a good actor (Not a big fan of Wendee Lee as Haruhi though, but it's ok).

I think the problem was a lot of the voice casting was hard to get used to as some of the voices were radicallllly different (kyou especially). But performance wise it was half decent half meh. It was strange how well done Nagisa was though if you ask me.

I'm not sure why I said Index when I wrote that post lol.
Index has a funimation dub, while LB is being done by Sentai Filmworks.
I think I might have meant Angel Beats, or maybe I just didn't like the Index dub trailer x.x

I think Little Busters English Dubbed is good as Angel Beats English Dubbed. Besides, Angel Beats doesn't has 2nd season, Little Busters has 2nd season.

I'm getting underway with it now.
It completely fell under the radar so I assumed it was left as was.
I figured, after seeing Space Dandy, Blue Exorcist, and a tn of other shows getting dubs lately, I should start grasping at straws.
Sure enough I ran right into it.

So far I like the voices okay, but the sync isn't the greatest. I'd have to go against you all and say Clannad and Angel Beats were better.
I'm looking forward to hearing the full cast though.
As much as I saw Britney Kaborowski as Rin and thought "Ikaros would me an awful Rin," I also remember her rendition of Yuri, and so far I like her and Riki best.
I go by many names, some call me Hoshimaru, others call me Jiro or Aosou-Kun.
I believe myself a force for good, a papercrafter by trade, and one who seeks love and beauty animesque.

I am the host of the youtube show Who Would You Do?
