THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I swear, sometimes this show creeps me out >_>

Also, is it just me, or has the art style changed?

You mean the way Jervis Pendleton was talking about Judy blooming like a flower? Or the fact that he was clearly flirting with her? Yeah, I kinda want to remind him that she's still in high school! Also, some of the dialogue made me want to gag in this episode. Too bad, because I was looking forward to it.

"Did you want to see Jimmie that much?"

Awww he has been jealous, that was such a cute moment. ♥

Since I'm into age-gap stories and that's why I started to watch this show, the new developments between Jervis and Judy didn't give me a surprise. But it's a pity the artwork had worsened.

Don't really have a problem with a Judy Jervis romance; an age gap was very common for the upper class, but if Jervis is John Smith it would make me a bit uncomfortable.

They've made it possible to come to that conclusion right after episode 9.
And still, Bill will live on.
He will befriend the next inhabitants of the earth, beings of light who revere him as a god.
And Bill will outlive them all... for millions and millions of years...exploring, learning, living,
until the earth is swallowed beneath his feet.
Until the sun is long since gone.
Until time loses all meaning and the moment comes that he knows only the positions of the stars
and sees them whether his eyes are closed or open.
Until he forgets his name and the place where he'd once come from.
He lives and he lives until all of the lights go out.

That was a long depression mode.
Judy has changed. She doesn't think she's connected to her guardian anymore, which is because she still doesn't know she has met him already.

Just waiting for the official reveal that Jervis is John Smith. And lol, was he really jealous that Judy would see Jimmie?

Judy had her first story published, and she was paid well too! She may just become able to support herself if this keeps up. And if Jervis is really her Daddy Long Legs, as he most certainly is, going there to visit her was the least he could do. Judy was able to open up to him as well. I guess that her Daddy Long Legs won't ever make her feel like that again without a proper reason, even if Jervis is only connected to him instead of being the man himself. But now Daddy Long Legs will also know about her hopes of going to college... Things certainly got dangerous during that storm though, but it only made them get closer to each other. I feel like it's only a matter of time for them to get together now.

I don't really mind the age gap love, bc that was common during those days. But I don't like the romance here since

Ugh, hate to see the lightning fear and storm cliches happening all at once like that. Literally so cheap of a method to further the romance. The first half of the episode was at least satisfying for me though. Because we finally understand that it's not that Judy dislikes the farm or she's become too spoiled, but she dislikes being ordered around and potentially not being understood by whom she considers her only family member. Which reminds her once again of her insecurities, hence the desire for freedom. But then that romance kicks in. Bruh anyway it was fucking stupid.

Also remember, this took place in the early 1910s, and these are upper class people. Age gap relationship is a fairly common thing. Better not apply today's social norm to this anime people.
