| I'm loving this show, but tbh the demons seem more human than actual humans. I mean comon? she is looking to grow agriculture?! I thought that was human culture:P What they need to do is elaborate on the demons actual personality. |

| Until now it has been pretty faithful to the source material, I admit. They left out a big portion of economic explanations, though. But it doesn't feel something's missing. Loved the Maou x Yuusha interactions in the manga, and loved here as well. She's cute, dammit! At first that Head Maid was really being an ass. Did she really think that if they weren't forced to be """serfs""" they still wouldn't desired to find their own path? And even if it were, the whole "if you're not socially useful you're a parasite" ideology really is out-dated and sickening. Well, at least she saved them, in the end, from whatever their punishment for trying to escape would have been. |

| The maid is a fucking idiot. They're insects because they were born into slavery and tried to run away? Fuck you. This immature 'lesson' you people seem to think she taught that "they should craft who they are themselves rather than rely on others", what the fuck were they meant to do? Just snap their fingers and voila! They're rich and free! What the hell were they supposed to do? The maid just spouted some pretentious bullshit and it's treated as some great lesson |

| I absolutely love the aquarell style of the backgrounds. The anime is also a fair bit cuter than any of the manga. The kid maid,.. so cute (^.^) |

| Obviously best episode. We have a good anime about crop rotation and how teaching earns ya respect. And that maid is totally badass. I hope Yuusha and Maou get to kiss. Best romantic couple. |

| So, Ways and Means: the anime? Xenophon would be proud. An interesting way to utilize 'muh economics.' Super simplistic but it's easier to digest than the badly realized stuff in Spice and Wolf (been a long time since I watched that though). Maou is super cute. If this were to stay as a relaxing village life show, I'd dig it, but obviously it's going to go beyond that. Also, adore the backgrounds. |
