DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I can’t think of a single scene that characterizes Rei better than what happened in her apartment in this chapter. She cares so little about herself, but so much about those glasses. I’m also surprised at what Shinji did to Toji. I like that he is a stronger character, but it is weird to see him be a dick. |
| Shinji was so flustered, yet Rei seemed to not care at all. Well, except for the glasses. I loved Shinji's hilarious attempt to make Rei laugh/smile. Poor Toji. |

| lol at Shinji's attempt to make Rei laugh and the callback to the previous chapter with the two now being even. Most of the people covered what I thought of the Rei/Shinji scene, all I can add is that while I appreciate using that old cliché for the purpose of actually developing Rei's character, I still can't say I'm the biggest fan of it. |
