| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Quite different atmosphere from the TV series. Instead of self-parodying pulp (alternately, straight-up, really simple-minded pulp) we get actual pulp. It works fairly well and Cobra is a decent pulp badass but it does remove what made the series unique; Cobra having the invincibility of a pulp hero yet also being a goofy idiot. I do like that Lady gets a decent spotlight for the first time. |
| Crystal Boy is dead again. Kinda lame OVA if you compare it with the older ones, it's fun to watch if you didn't see those though. A 3/10. |

| The final episode was rushed compared to the first and second one. And just like the original the arc conclusion is rushed. It still some good ideas. 5/10 for the anime. |
