For me the first movie was better, but this one isn't bad at all. ~

It's been awhile since I see last Bleach movie, so I'm happy to see more Bleach stuff.

This movie have interesting story, but I don't know why I didn't enjoy so much.

Overall for me this movie is 5/10.

Well, this was entertaining and the animation quality definitely upped for this movie.

Capt. Hitsugaya is one of my favourite characters of the show and his interaction with Vice-Capt. was just good as I remember it to be! Final scene between the two in particular was fantastic.

As for the movie, in general, the storyline was slightly lacking and over-the-top but I'll take it. Got to hear some of the glorious soundtracks too.

Generous 7/10 from me, as such.

Watching these movies to bide my time until the anime returns. This was a pleasant surprise, a lot of cool moments of everyone showing off their powers and the legendary osts to back them up. Story was ok definitely helped that Hitsugaya is one of my favorites. 7/10

Ying & Yang's outfit was nice and sexy! I wanna lick their armpits! hehe

This is more like it! A movie that doesn't feel like filler. The final battle on their path to Sojiro was cool! However, I wish the final fight against Sojiro had more action. I missed watching Ichigo fight in that Vizard form and I wanted more of it! 8/10

Bleach Movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion

Hitsugaya past, the idea was interesting but the execution was not done well.
I really thought that was a lot of holes in the plot.

How he survived and go to Hueco Mundo?
Is he a Visored? Was the two helper Arrancar?
Why there is two Hyourinmaru?
There is no clear explanation why...

I can't believe i'm glad Aizen killed all the members of Central 46.
Boomer Trash with their Stupid Rule.

Ngl best part of the movie was Kenpachi.
That is my favorite Fanservice from Bleach Movie.

I always like Hitsugaya as a character and also Zanpakutō Hyourinmaru, I'm disappointing.
This movie is just okay, you know it could been much better than this.
6/10

I'm ready for the Third movie Fade to Black.

This was a cool movie. (no pun intended)

Now, it's a tragic friend's death?

Well, it wasn't as epic as I hoped it would be, but it's still a decent movie. But I prefer the first movie, because of Senna... 😭😭

Unfortunately, the supporting characters, or Uryuu, didn't get that much action. It's more from the perspective of Ichigo and those connected to the story.

Also, the movie could've focused more on Toushirou and Rangiku's relationship, it could've been better IMO.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

That was a boring ass movie with shitty animation all the way up until the last 20 minutes. I've seen One Piece filler special with better pacing and animation. Wtf kinda movie is this?! Hitsugaya sucked balls in the show and he still sucks ass in this movie. Nothing's changed. If they at least made this movie all about Rangiku, then maybe I could've paid a little more attention and enjoyed myself. Worthless villain with a ridiculously obstinate and lame backstory and a runtime hounded by filler light shows. 2/5

I think this movie was very good. The villain was better than the villains from the previous film in my opinion (at least he felt more like actual character with understandable backstory and remarkable personality rather than just the plot device for good guys to defeat). Gotei 13 wanting to capture/execute Toshiro, while harsh and cruel, was at least understandable since this movie took place shortly after Aizen's betrayal and they would obviously be paranoid of any sign of treason. My favourite moments are when Ichigo tells Toshiro that he doesn't have to shut down his emotions and when Ichigo and Rukia face off against Kusaka and his two minions. And since I like Toshiro very much, I am happy that he got a special movie for himself.

However, the one thing I don't like about this movie is the message.

I mean, Kusaka was executed by Soul Society just because he happened to have the same Zanpakuto as Toshiro, and later he cheats death and returns to justifiably get revenge on Soul Society for his unfair treatment. Yet, nobody even questions the fact that he was killed because of stupid law and they just kill him off again. Suro, Toshiro tells Kusaka that he always considered him his friend and Kusaka dies in peace, but still...I found it quite horryfying.

Yes, I know that in Japanese society, following orders, no matter how stupid or unfair they can be, is considered important and good and the higher ups who make the rules are allowed to break them and get away with a lot of stuff the normal person can't, but still...this is the same manga where Ichigo saving Rukia from unjust execution was clearly portrayed as right thing to do. Yet nobody even suggested sparing Kusaka and letting him live in secret, but instead they kill him again because I don't know, he wants to become a king of Soul Society and the law says he should be killed.

The second of the four Bleach movies, and I will say that this one has an interesting premise.

I like how the main focus of the movie is Toshiro Hitsugaya rather than Ichigo. To be fair, Senna was the primary focus of the first movie, so it’s not a surprise that Pierrot would focus on a different character when the main series looks at Ichigo for the most part. One thing that confuses me still is how Toshiro and Sojiro attained the same Zanpakuto. I feel the movie expects us to accept this, but not tell us how this occurred.

Toshiro’s behavior in the beginning was erratic but as we progress through the movie, we understand why. Toshiro and Sojiro are friends (I say are because in the end, Toshiro tells them that they are still friends) and Central 46 forced them to fight to the death to see who would be the master of Hyorinmaru, and it’s thanks to the Ouin that Sojiro Kusaka even survived Central 46 having the stealth force jump the dude. I get why Sojiro felt the need for vengeance and I think he’s a better antagonist than Ganryu. As others complained about how we know nothing about Ganryu’s past and why his group were banished from the Soul Society. So in comparison, Sojiro is much better.

I like how we get a glimpse of how Ichigo dealt with his mother’s death and through that, he understands what Toshiro is going through and why he’s acting the way that he is. We understand better how close Ichigo is with his family and how he came to deal with his emotions, and now he’s able to pass that on to Toshiro despite how stubborn he’s being. Given how the Soul Society operates, I’m not shocked they resorted to an execution order on Toshiro, but I’m shocked that when they heard that Toshiro was being pursued in the World of the Living and that Shunsui was attacked in the Soul Society by Hyorinmaru that they didn’t question the events knowing that it’s not possible for Toshiro to have done both of those things. Why did it take Jushiro and Byakuya questioning it. I immediately questioned it (regardless of me knowing what actually occurred).

Getting to the final fight, I thought in terms of the action it was underwhelming after Sojiro cut the Ouin in terms of a clash of swords or something along those lines. Once Toshiro and Ichigo got to him, they ended it swiftly. I do love how Ichigo gave Toshiro and Sojiro the chance to settle their duel once and for all, allowing Sojiro to end things on his own terms. I thought that was touching and despite the chaos, Sojiro isn’t that bad of a guy. He did get obsessed with Hyorinmaru, but that’s just how it is. Toshiro got the closure that he needed and now things can get back to normal.

Toshiro’s final goodbye at the grave had a few elements that made it amazing. His actual goodbye along with acknowledging to Rangiku what he did wrong and then immediately getting back to his stiff, stuck up attitude.

I still enjoyed the movie and despite me saying that I liked the first one better, after writing this review, I’m on the fence. I’m really looking forward to watching Fade to Black and hearing my favorite OST, Fade to Black 13a (because there’s no way it’s not in the movie).
