All in all, I think it was a very fitting ending for the series. It's nice to see that both Keiji and Momoe will both be able to fulfill each of their separate dreams while working together. (Although I will admit that it bothered me that Kanako was the one who came up with the idea. I guess she is the one with the best business sense, though.)

I really liked that all of the characters grew throughout the entire series, but you can see that each of them still has quite a bit of growing to do. I really wish there had been some chapters that spanned the creation/opening of their restaurant, as I love to see the dynamic between Keiji and Momoe when they are working, but this ending suited it just fine. :)

Wait, what?? That's it? I'm glad that everyone was happy in the end but I would've wanted to see more. And there was no interesting development for Kaoru. I'm actually a bit disappointed that Momoe gave herself to Kaoru just like that. And it was her first time too! I was thinking that it could've been more special.

"Miki and her husband do well. They don't have ay children because I gave Kanako and Momoe too many children."

Hahaha, the translator's notes made the ending so hilarious. =))

Wonderful. 8/10

Great protagonist and lots of nice side characters. Decent love interest. I thought I would be reading this for the romance but Momoe's love of food and her passion for cheering up her peers really drove me to read this manga with enjoyment. It was delicious. It opened up a new perspective for me about restaurants and cooking. I want to try better restaurants and enjoy the food.

I wish she would have some development with him to be honest. He was a great guy and I would have preferred her and him to become a thing and for her to move on from loving Oda.

One of the biggest disappointments i've had in a while. Argh I wanted this manga to be satisfying but from the last ~20 or so I could see it becoming worse with no redemption in sight.

I absolutely believe these characters stagnated because all i saw in the end were empty relationships, and incredibly underhanded motivations with a lot of convenient resolutions.

The food aspect... while I think started off really well it meandered around with and ultimately left me incredibly underwhelmed. Personally I think Momoe's growth happened quite early on in the series, making a lot of the situations feel like filler in the long run. The gender issues that it liked to touch upon from time to time also started falling flat.

I think the Momoe + Kaoru relationship exploration of this would have made for a more mature romance. The author could have done something great here but unfortunately the mangaka crippled her own story by forcing Momoe to be that character that has absolutely no eyes for anyone because the mangaka said so from the very beginning.

Such a waste of such gorgeous artwork, it hurts man!

Overall I thought the story was good. I didn't feel the relationship with Momoe and Oda though. The ending tied things up decently well with the characters. 7/10

@stand I’m with you on this!
Strong start, mid mid, abysmal ending.

Kenji has little to no growth (apart from his brief stint at sel dor). Momoe remains an underwhelming chef Till the end. The restaurant of their dreams remains a One panel scene only. Hasami is randomly in love with Kanako. Kaorus all but vanished from the plot. And why le petit rabbit? They could’ve opened up a unique place. And say what May, Oda and Kanakos relationship was one of the most fleshed out ones. They literally dated for over 35 chapters. Oda and Momoe seemed really random in comparison.

I'd give it a 7/10. I think it could've been a potential 9/10 if they changed a few things.

Hasumi chasing after Kanako does make sense. He's a f-ck boy who chases after women who don't like him. That's why he was interested in Momoe for a while.

I think Oda became unlikable. He basically lied and gaslighted Kanako.

I truly think this manga would've been better and more mature if Momoe had gotten over Oda and moved on. I mean... Kimi ni Todoke had a similar storyline, and they chose the more mature route of having the girl get over her first crush. That's a Shoujo and this is a Josei btw...
