He was abandoned at a young age by what were supposed to be his parents, but he never considered them as such seeing as though they left him all alone. The command seal appeared on Luciel's body instead of his sister's. Although he is not nearly as talented as his sister, Luciel's abilities are still more than enough to qualify as a master. As a member of Edelfelt lineage, he is an expert in weaving curses. He developed a new technique of fusing curses with magical jewels. The jewel from this process have similar effects to normal magical jewels (like the ones used by Tohsaka Rin), except that it spews curses instead of anything else. At its highest level, he could create seemingly-living beings filled with curses. To hide Luciel's identity, the Edelfelts decided to enroll him to a normal high-school, much to his annoyance. Unbeknownst to ordinary people, they had the entire school and dormitory rigged with all kinds of traps and runes. All to ensure their victory in the Holy Grail War.
