For me, there were three,
Number 3: Kingseeker Frampt
After ringing the first bell, the one on top of the Gargoyle-Tower, you can hear a strange scraping sound at where, later Frampt emerges at the Firelink Shrine.
A sound, that wasn't there before...
And there's even something written in the subtitle...
this totally freaked me out.
I got totally nervous and searched the place for nearly a half hour to ensure that there's no boss, that whould jump my back, as soon as i turend around.
The last time a game made me that nervous, was The Ledgend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, back in 1998... when i was 11...
Number 2: The Gaping Dragons emerge.
At first i thought, "Pfft.... that's considered to be the next boss...?"
Then the dragon stood up and i saw more, than it's nose, which i had mistaken for it's head and thought "Dammit... why can't things ever be easy....?"
While the Gaping dragon might not be the most beautiful dragon, ever created in a video game, at least it's a very unique version of a dragon.
At least i have not seen many similar taken on a dragons appearence.
So, thumbs up up the creativity, that went into one of the most awesome ways of saying: "Women are evil!"
Number 1: My first arival in Anor Londo.
I went to the Bonfire and when i came back up to the balcony, and thought,
"Well... that's a really goreous view."
I stood there and did nothing but really enjoy the view for at least five minutes.
Seriously, it's been years, since a game managed to stun me by a mere background.
I think the last game was actually Ocarina of Time, too...
speaking of which... for me Dark Souls has a very similar feeling to Ocarina of Time...
So, my
Number 0(carina of time)
The whole game made me feel like i am play Ocarina of Time again, in a new and exciting way.
I'm not sure if Dark Souls is able to claim the title of my all time favourite video game, only time will show... |
