THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------

A decent episode - fairly predictable, but nice to see Romeo finally stepping up and defying Daddy. And at least someone brought it to his attention that it might not all be sunshine and roses.

Next episode seems interesting...and Hermoine looks pissed! Cat fight!

I just love how he sticks to his own sense of morals and saves everyone xD; even if it's physically impossible( im pretty sure he's got to have a few broken ribs here or there) Dx
I just love how everyone now respects him xDD

I'm really sorry to say this, as I love RXJ, but both episode 14 and 15 have really disappointed me. The show had so much going for it, the pace was speedy but it worked for the series, and episode 15 (and 14 at that) to me just seemed like filler.
True, I can understand that with the pace being that as it was, there was going to need to be some sort of filler to keep the series going, but Romeo being at the mines is all getting rather cliche.

It's predictable, it's cliche, it's what I've seen many another anime do. It's not the RXJ I've come to watch and love, it lacked in the plot twists (such as Cielo leaving, or even the red whirlwind plot), and the turntables that the series showed so much hope and promise of bringing near the start.

Saying that, the fact that Neo Verona is an aerial city did spark my interest in this episode.
I'm just really hoping they'll stop with the filler episodes soon. I almost zoned out on episode 15 when Romeo went back to save the miner, and was saved by his 'friends'; how cliche can we get? That, and what has he learnt in the mines really? That his Dad is evil (he knew that already), he's got courage to try and save people (he saved the red whirlwind many a time, and Juliet), and that the people of Neo Verona aren't as bad as Daddy makes out?
If anything, personally, I would have thought that if these 'filler' episodes were meant for character development, they could have taken the mines from a different point of view. He wasn't happy with the conditions that the workers were being kept in from day one, why not LEAD the group and START a riot? If anything, all this has really taught Romeo is that he too can be down to earth, and wow, a few nobodies have grown to like him! A few really quite overdone character designed nobodies; which could suggest serious budget cuts. I just hope these budget cuts don't continue, as we head towards the climax. (Which is only nine episodes away, and they still have quite a bit of book to cover!)

I just hope RXJ can pull things back from here, as it was one of my favourite anime series of the season.

I completely agree with everything Mouse has said. Cliche and predictable are the perfect words for the past few episodes.

Well...it's right around the middle, they have to do something to slow things down to avoid getting to the big finish too quickly. But I agree with you, Mouse.

And I'm not surprised Xinil is on the same page - seems like you having been liking much of anything in this series lately. :)

I didn't care for this episode either. Mouse pretty much summed up how I felt about the last two episodes. Next episodes is going to feature Hermione... I really don't like her. I think I'm going to watch this episode like the I have been doing for the Bleach fillers... background noise.

Next ep looks awsome! XD

And nice new ed, though the cloak blowing in the wind just floating in the air does look a bit, but its awesome.

*goes to watch next ep*

I didn't really mind it. After all it's Romeo And Juliet, if you watch it and expect not to see any of the cliché's or the story to be rather predictable, then imho the whole approach is wrong. If they moved too far away from that it wouldn't be Romeo & Juliet. But that's just me.

Though I agree that they have to speed up a little.

I can understand why Hermione is still trying to get Romeo. It looks like she does love him and Romeo is also the key to her future. She was supposed to be the wife of the prince but it looks like she could lose all that now.

The episode was pretty okay, nothing too special.

Finally a suiting ED for this series, the previously one was so unfitting!

I've been waiting for the new ED. It was practically half the reason I decided to re-watch this, it's so nostalgic and melancholic.

I watched this episode after 16, I think I missed it by accident and watched episode 16, or somehow paid so little attention to it I thought I missed it and watched again after episode 16 straight away! LOL! Again, I was so bored I was on my phone half the episode.

It was okay, but now this show is losing me, the peril was good but the rest not so much.

Poor Hermoine.

I have to disagree with the others. I loved the past 2 episodes. It's a nice change of environment for someone like Romeo and I think it's good for the show.

As Cap would say, "you got heart, kid."

Also, this new ending theme is MUCH better than the first one. What a great change.

Wao, new ending. Does that mean we get a new opening next ep? :}

I like the Akai Kaze cloak swaying in the field of irises -^____^-

Romeo da hero~ I hope those "prisoners" will follow him later on C:

I was surprisingly enamoured by Romeo’s mining adventures, all things considered. Should be exciting to see where Hermione’s storyline goes.

Also, thank God for the new ED; the last one was a good song, but it continued to feel incredibly jarring after every single episode.
