| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Aichi did win and he used a new card that was never mentioned before. I would've preferred they showed us that scene with Soul Saver Dragon before rather than just springing it on us at the last moment. And...why did that dragon have boobs? T_T |

| I just knew Aichi would use a new card. Though he said it was the "God of Knights", but when I saw that the dragon had breasts I thought they should've changed it to "Goddess of Knights". Needless to say it was a pretty awesome episode and a great way to end regionals. Another thing to note is that weird ball of light that Aichi experienced when he was about to draw Soul Saver Dragon. Even Kai saw it too and it seems like he knew something about it. Looks like the cards are about to go supernatural and have freaky abilities like in Yu-gi-oh. No surprise there though since the makers of Yu-gi-oh are directing this anime. Next episode a new character is introduced when the guys go meet up with the gals at PSY again. Looks pretty interesting, so I can't wait. |

| And now it's no longer just a card game... I was bothered that they showed us the card in the eye catch before he actually played it. but it wasn't that big a deal. Curious to watch the fight in the next ep. |
| Oh crap did you see that "heart of the cards" oh I..I mean Heart of the Vanguards. Can't have no copyright things, now can we? That dragon card is really awesome. It's ability was perfect in a situation like that, but it's also BS. |

| At first I thought the game was pretty simple, just a matter of getting the cards up to grade 3 then attacking with them. Utilizing the card skills & combining them seems to be the way the game is meant to be played. There aren't any 'magic' or 'trap' cards like Yu-gi-oh had but it seems like there are ways to make the game interesting. |

For explanation, think of this scenario : You're a mortally wounded soldier, expecting to die soon. Would you be more happy to see a woman or a man come to pick you up? This might be a little bit based on the valkyries of the northern mythologies. |

| Oh great, Aichi is the new Yugi/Yami who can pull any card they want EXACTLY when they need it. Not that I mind so much, that last play with the dragon was pretty sweet. |
