| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Rochina's a triple agent? LOL Sure it showed it him the history of Quaint, what does it want for Chirico to do? Overmen as Rochina said are people with extraordinary abilities and he suspects his master is one, I wonder if those were the 'Gods' referred to in Quaint folklore. I'm almost antsy about what Chirico thought at end. |

| Easily one of the worst episodes in the whole series (along with 43 and 44). I was actually yawning through it! This arc is getting very boring. There's some action here and there to spice things up, but it's just not enough. Well, at least there was some plot update. So those "gods of destruction" on the Quaintians legends seem to be called "Overmen" (lol). And, for some reason, one of them has been watching Chirico for years for an unknown purpose. Also, the old useless trio returns to the scene in a painfully dull attempt at some comedic relief. Oh, and it looks like they were captured yet again, this time by the Gilgamesh forces, who are conveniently heading to Quaint so that everyone can be reunited for the big happy ending. I'm still hoping Coconna will die before that. Also, I'm hating the lack of love on the producers for Shakko. He's such a static character that even before looking like a third wheel (after Fyana joins up) he was already looking like a "second wheel". xD He's just so irrelevant that I'm surprised he hasn't died yet. Looking forward for the big scale battle that will ensue between the two main powers. |

| I've lost count on how many times Chirico and the old trio have been capture. It's getting ridiculous by now. I'm surprised by the 'cosmic' angle that this series has taken. It seems that almost no mecha series of the early 80's can shake the Ideon influence. |

| I think the pitch for this episode was "How many times can we show Chirico and his friend check their surroundings?" It's been almost 8 months since I watched episode 44 because my video files were corrupted, but I'm pretty sure I would have been just as confused even if I was able to watch episode 45 back then. |
