Oh man this was pretty good, almost thought they were gonna do a big reveal at the end there but it didnt happen i was sad.

Overall i love how the style is clearly 60's but still manages to look so hip and cool even for todays standards. And machine gun titties.... Best thing in anime since lolis.

So I watched 13 eps not 12 but w/e anime was decent the machine gun titties were too funny. 5/10

This could have been a great show if done properly but it was a pretty good mix of Noir and Sci-Fi :)

Mylene is so hot :\

lol im surprised i dint realize it till it was pointed out. lots implied innuendos but obvious fanservicey parts. guess i distracted by tight bodysuits & the art style. guess undies wouldnt be very beneficial to mylene or other cyborgs/fembots

A bit too corny at times, but pretty nice overall. Liked the episodic stories the most since the overarching plot left a lot to be desired.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I liked this anime. Beyond of gratuitously fanservice and erotic shots, the subject is interesting, mature and very thoughtful, This was all accompanied by great directing. 8/10

009-1 Aired in the Fall season of 2006 as a one season show. Adapted from the manga that was serialized in the 60’s-70’s by Ishimori Entertainment, 009-1 is an Action Sci-Fi Seinen set in an alternate universe where the cold war never ended. We follow the titular protagonist in her spy adventures.

This show caught me off guard. At the time of recording I have watched all twelve episodes. I went in without many expectations and yet each episode despite their episodic nature hooked me and managed to weave together into a loose plot thread. There is plenty of violence and adult themes as Mylene uses her feminine wiles and superb martial skills to complete a variety of missions.

First the good. This show is a classic spy flick with all the bells and whistles that come with the genre. While I’ve never been big on bond type shows this gave me heavy metal gear solid vibes, especially with the mutants that help to separate this from more mundane spy shows. The only character we really explore in this show is Mylene, however she more than carries the show. There are also plenty of one-off characters like Egg that spice up each episode.

While this show also has it’s fair share of adult moments, I believe they are handled rather tastefully and always serve to move the plot of the episode forward. Besides that though, there are many other heavy topics covered in 009-1 and while I believe they handle them in generally interesting ways, this leads me to the bad. Due to it’s episodic nature, while there are some twists and callbacks to the previous episodes there isn’t a strong plot or continuity. This is exacerbated in the ending as it left me feeling as if nothing was resolved.

For me, the biggest selling points of 009-1 are it’s action, episodic storytelling, and drama in the semi-futuristic cold war setting. From moon bases to mammary machineguns this show can keep you on your toes despite it’s shortcomings. And did I mention the voice actor for Mylene’s Boss Number Zero is the same guy who does Hans von Zettour in Tanya the Evil?

If that sounds good to you, I’d check this one out. While it’s not anything all that revolutionary, I think it’s a good time and a good watch. Overall, I’d put this in my Personal Recommendations and rate this a () out of ten.

rip Loki, it was a difficult fight for both of them, I thought there would be something more about them, by the color of their hair you can see that they are similar. saving the moon and the children is not an easy job. 7/10
