| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- 300 across 5 subjects would be considered failing where I come from o.O also, why isn't there some sort of prize money if there's an entrance fee? and why aren't they at least trying to get sponsors? considering his record when using crap equipment, it wouldn't be hard to convince them that he could win with a new machine and maybe a few professionals to help out in the pit crew. |
| There probably are some money but small win prizes that you get from winning this contests ain't near enough to cover the expenses. Buying new tyres alone cost a fortune and you have no choice but change them all the time because you can't do anything on destroyed tyres. In truth until you reach F1 you constantly need money to keep going and the expenses grow the higher you get. Hell you even might need to pay money even in F1 at your first year just to get threw the door. It's harsh as hell. Even the other guy will have problems later on. Now his mother seems to have the funding to keep him easy but the closer he gets his mother will need to find help from bigger and bigger sponsors. As about Capeta i guess until now it was kind of hard to get a sponsor because his just starting to get into the big boys of kart racing and because his father ain't in a position to help him much there. You need to know people. Maybe with the help of that track owner and that reporter he might find a few but first he needs to win a race or two in the category he just entered so he can get attention. |
| Capeta is under a lot of strain, I understand though since he's studying, working part time and racing at the same time. It seems though he wants to do them all at the same time, after seeing his dad working like that. But that could be fatal, as he could suffer from that pressure, like he did when he almost killed that boy with his mistake. Wonder if he will accumulate the 300 points set by Tokiwa. |
