Guess Haruto should expect the unexpected. Any mission can have its surprises.

Guns were drawn, feelings were felt. I have to admit, Aoi is starting to become more interesting than I had originally thought. Either way, this episode's mission into much more than just the usual.

Glad the vol 5.5 story is still being adapted, it's still important for the reveal of Shiori's character.

I’m loving this backstory. Making me connect way more with Haruto and actually understand what’s going on with him as a person.

Ayyyy first time ever hearing my name in an anime, As a fellow black Nathan, gotta say they did Nathan Black dirty today. Whole second half of the episode was hard to watch. Kept thinking there was more to the story and that Enishi wasn’t actually an opp, sadly not.

Holy shit that Aoi and Samejima fight was brutal oh my god. The sound effects as Aoi gouged Samejima’s eye out, holy fuck. So that’s how Aoi went out :/ little underwhelming for someone as badass as she is, but I feel like I understand Haruto’s a lot more now. Wonder when he’ll find out the truth.

Gotta say, I expected a bit more from Aoi vs Kuroe fight, as I remember it being more intense and longer in the VN. The entire mission felt a bit rushed too.

Interesting that they have shifted vol 5.5 to be adapted after vol 6 (and I think they will merge it a bit with vol 7), on one hand I'm glad they did it, but on the other one... I truly wish they will give 3-4 episodes for vol 8, as rushing it will ruin the entire climax of the show and every little detail that lead to that, especially now that they have decided to add Arisaka's backstory into it. In general I feel that vol 8 would work exceptionally well as a movie and that 1-cour was not enough to adapt PT properly...

So Haruto inadvertently caused Aoi's death by taking her sword.

Maybe they're keeping the fan-service to the OVAs like they did with previous seasons.

I'm comparing it to the fact that the movies had fanservice, especially the first one

But like I said, even without the fanservice, there's nothing "waifu" or simp worthy about this adaptation and I can't see how anyone really cares about any of the characters

At least the movies were "trying" to make the girls waifu bait

I mean look at how few comments the episodes are getting and how few favorites the girls have compared to the original Grisaia, I can't be alone here

@EcchiGodMamster In the official Grisaia 10th anniversary poll Murasaki, Tohka and Rena each had more votes than any of the og main girls except Kazuki (which is also not a surprise since Kazuki was considered most popular Grisaia girl, far ahead of all other characters), so yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Well, personally I also think that female cast of PT is way better than og Grisaia, its an opposite for male lead where Yuuji is more interesting than Haruto (Yuuji basically carried the original Grisaia VN, it wouldn't be that good without him).

that's cool to know because i like this cast more as well and own way more merch of these girls, THE PROBLEM IS that when it comes to THIS adatpation they aren't abusing it...

am i wrong to say that this adaptation ISN'T trying to be waifu bait?

when did this poll come out? cause it was probably based on the games or the movies, ain't no fucking way it was based on this adaptation lol

@EcchiGodMamster This adaptation IS NOT trying to be waifu bait because the game which this adaptation was NEVER supposed to be waifu bait. Simple as that. So thats definitely not a PROBLEM, as you keep highlighting it. I still don't know whats up with your constant talk about "movies had waifu bait, TV adaptation doesn't" - its literally the same, both adapted with similar accuracy, it even had similar pacing issues. Both movies and TV adaptation has fanservice in the same places where it was within the game. Like, there's nothing really that was blatantly cut out from fanservice parts, I'd even say that bath scene during Murasaki arc was more detailed in the anime.

You're not wrong saying its not trying to be "waifu bait", since it is indeed a case. You're wrong in thinking its bad that its not a"waifu bait". Ultimately, I have a feeling that you're trying to forcefully insert fanservice shots and scenes to the story where it doesn't belong, and constantly comparing it to original Grisaia which was an eroge with romance routes, as opposed to PT which is a linear all-ages story. Completely different structure and completely different content, even if theme is tied together.

Somewhere around the time when Grisaia Chronos Rebellion got released, and yes, obviously before TV. No idea how it matters but whatever, it was targeted to VN fans in the first place.

so they just randomly removed the upskirt/pantyshots, the zooming in on ass and the zooming in on boobs/cleavage at a certain point in the game?

like... all the stuff in the movies that i made gifs out of?

no... I'm comparing it to the movies and anime movies don't have the same amount of censorship restrictions that TV anime do which is what i think happened here

idk if i found every gif as i have 13947029174 folders and 7 EHDs but you should get the idea of what I'm saying is "missing" here

I knew Aoi would need her katana later when she gave it away, still a bit disappointing how she lost against the other chick.
