I also have been arguing this case. There’s a bit of confusion over Uryu’s age, but at most there’s a 3 year age difference between him and best girl Asahi. Fandom site says it’s 2 years 3 months. I was dating a 14 yo when I was 16, innocently with no x rated stuff. I eventually married a girl 4 years older. When I was 14 she was 18, but we met when I was 20. If things get physical it may be uncomfortable for the moral preachers among us, but I’ll be ok with it.
Also, don’t forget the only technical pedo in the show is Yae. She’s 20, so ‘preying on/ grooming’ our mc is worse than 2 minors getting together.
Only for the moral idiots btw, I think it’s fine.

In the world of anime underrage brides are pretty common. I do not see the point of concern over it, and I also would not deny it. Lolis are known to be big with Otaku audience for a reason. It is already implied the Mc marries all 3 girls.

Teenage girls are popular with men and the Young adult 12-16 demographics which is why they are so common.

The funny thing is that in the case of Yae we would literally receive a direct criminal offense, since she is adult, but Uryu is not. But for the same reasons why women seducing adolescents in most cases receive much milder punishment, everyone doesn't care about age difference in their case.

I also don't see the prblm with age gaps. Marrying someone less than 2yrs or of equal age or greater is pretty normal (btw, I'm Indian).

The whole confusion is caused cuz. Asahi is in middle scl (final year maybe) and Uryu is in high scl (1st year). Everyone is acting like Asahi being 14 flirting or being flirt by 35 year old Uryu 😑
