What do you think about a Season 2?

Honestly, fall 2024 season was a huge mixed bag for me, lots of promising things turning out disappointing, some things being unexpectedly good, etc etc but this was definitely one of the better shows to come out of it.

A little worried though as they haven't made a season 2 announcement. I'm well aware things don't always get S2 announced right away, still worries me a little though. In my opinion, more than nearly everything else from fall season, this one deserves another run.

Anyone else have thoughts?

@ajw215799 Really? The manga's for this series seem to both have been axed and afaik, the novels aren't translated to other languages (at least officially) Guess that shouldn't surprise me as the reason, JC Staff seemed to put more effort into this than their usual seasonal anime so I had my hopes up. Still surprising to hear it got it's anime that early into the novels making.

@MewsicMagic I just double checked and there is enough material for a Season 2 provided they stretch it and the light novels have received an English translation with Yen Press. But probably what it boils down to is how popular it is in Japan and how much money it made. That’s typically how decisions on more episodes are made and they’re not going to put money into something that they’re not confident could be profitable in the long term.

Enough source material for a second season but it sucks in rankings with none of the LN in bookwalker's top 100 so I wouldn't have high expectations for a second season

doesn't matter if they release season 2 or not the show was bad at least at the end portion and the fight scenes were really stupid sometimes so doesn't matter if the release or not I am not going to watch it

@Ghetsia yeah I only looked it up after I said it as I didn’t realize 2 LNs were published while the anime was airing. But a Season 2 boils down to money

By pretty high standards if you mean I have good taste then yes
the initial phase of the show was pretty a damn good
the concept was kind of cool and the opening song is awesome
and the plot line of the immortal furnace was pretty damn horrific
but then it started to fell off the villain was like the most average Disney villain you could find the fighting scenes were decent like when the hero fights the English speaking girl that was kind a nice but the fight of the demon Lord versus the villain was very boring especially after he transformed into his monster phase
And the second arc of the show where he was acting as the school student was just boring, nothing really happened in that arc, fighting scenes were not that good
that's why I think the show had kind of somewhat potential but then it just fell off.

tbh as long as I get ma gang back together I'm happy. None of the lore had me hooked and I did not care for the story a single bit. Genuinely the best parts of the whole anime was when the gang was just chilling together, the slice of life parts of the anime was by far the best and the only thing I cared for so as long as I get that in a season 2 I'm satisfied

It's an interesting series.

Especially with them adding in that Vtuber cameo at the beginning, LOL

But judging by audience responds... it seems like the series as a whole isn't that popular...

So if this series was to ever get a season 2, it might take years (and I mean like 3-5+ years, similar to some other series that didn't get a sequel til years later cause the anime industry needed to find something to work on, LOL)
