Yeah, you can start from Mygo first. There are cameos of other characters from Poppin' Party, Afterglow and Roselia, but they have no bearing on the plot whatsoever.

I dont know if it helps, but anisearch.de is a good site to overview relations from series/prequels/Sidestorys.

Yes, Bang Dream It's my go is made to cater in new fans as well as serving the older fans with cameos of characters from previous installments. I also started from here and now I'm watching ave mujica. I also planned to watch the previous ones in the near future.

you can start from here yes, its a standalone series and even goes into another direction than the other BanG Dream entries
MyGo is a drama while the other entries are more focussed on comedy/cgdct

Ave Mujica started airing yesterday and is a direct sequel to MyGo, so if you end up enjoying MyGo you can directly continue from there

Although it works well starting at MyGo, not seeing the whole awesome world of Bandori is a huge loss, the stories are fun and the music just awesome. Even the Roselia movies have a bit of the drama that Ave Mujica is showing. But avoid the Argonavis series, it sucks in comparison to the rest.

I second this! I got my friend into Bandori from the beginning, and he’s been loving it. That makes me extra excited to show him MyGo :) he’s in for a treat.

Start with season 1 (as much as people hate it), move to 2, then 3, then the movie and then my go and ave mujica
