December 10th was for the new volume of short stories as far as I could tell, so hopefully it's early 2026 for the next season and changing studios didn't delay too much.

| Yeah this makes sense, I assumed it would be late 2025 at the earliest so it's not shocking news to me. Its still very nice to have confirmation though. Hopefully they'll do at least 24 episodes or more so we can get all of part 3 animated. And maybe, erm hopefully, they make the art style to look a bit closer to the light novel, still not expecting it though but it would be nice to see as the LN art looks better than Aija-do's artwork. |

It's WIT studios of all people
they're busy with other works like THE ONE PIECE, SPY X FAMILY, OUSAMA RANKING, etc
the sheer lineups of the studio and their other new works make me worry about ASCENDENCE OF BOOKWORM
| @AlphaPsych double check on this! but i vaguely remember reading SOMETHING about OnePiece going on hiatus. might have been an unfounded rumor since i haven't watched OP in over a decade and dropped it quite quickly, so i don't follow the news on it. nevermind, i just checked the MAL listing for OP "October 13, 2024 to April 2025" the show is going on hiatus. also, that's a remake project called THE One Piece? unless WIT is going the same route as 'Urusei Yatsura' and remaking OP entirely from the ground up and such... won't it just be a re-edit project cutting out 'the fat' ?? i don't know what WIT is doing, so... no clue how it will affect/effect Bookworm. spyfams? don't forget that is CloverWorks AND WIT. the S3 was JUST announced in June 2024, S1 was a split cour project and S2 was 12 eps... so 'technically' by standard Seasonal measurements there are already THREE TV seasons worth of episodes out. also, spyfams is a bi-weekly manga if i'm not mistaken. so its content will expand faster than a monthly manga publication schedule. does bi-weekly lead to shorter chapters with fewer pages and frames? i don't read manga so i wouldn't know. Ousama Ranking? S1 of that one was 23 eps long so almost 2 seasons without a cour break and it is 2 years old. Treasure Chest of Courage was only 10 episodes filled with short stories so a pretty easy project that had its final episode almost 6 months ago. the OR Movie? was announced SIX DAYS after Treasure Chest of Courage aired its final episode. also, the art for OR is... to be generous? cartoonish, simplistic, and... pretty... but definitely not top-tier-AAA level anime studio work... it definitely isn't like WIT's previous work on AOT, Owari no Seraph, Ancient Magus' Bride, Vivy, Great Pretender etc. :D hahahah! :D i'm sorry to laugh at you.. but from what you've listed??? Bookworm... being PROJECTED for 2026... two YEARS from now? i DON'T think WIT will have a serious problem. something could come up though. |

| It's been known for a while (since 2023) that WIT Studio was going to do the next season: WIT Studio Adapts Part 3 of 'Honzuki no Gekokujou' Light Novel. But yeah, it still feels weird to me that the Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Vivy, Great Pretender, Ousama Ranking studio is doing Bookworm... But then I remember they also did Shikanoko last season and some NFT advertisement show. |

@KiliianSleipnir Ousama Ranking have highest quality art only Great Pretender is on that level. Rest of them are lower.

Owari no Seraph, Ancient Magus' Bride, Vivy are each one. each. one. at a time. 100% better than Ousama Ranking's art. i've already said it, i'll say it again... "the art for OR is... to be generous? cartoonish, simplistic, and... pretty... but definitely not top-tier-AAA level anime studio work." the environmental backgrounds, foliage, atmospheric weather conditions in Ancient Magus' Bride are 100% better than the entirety of the work done on Ousama Ranking. JUST the art for the backgrounds and such are better in Bride. you don't even have to put a single character IN THE FRAME of the camera for any scene in Bride to beat the entirety of OR added together. Seraph? the fight choreography alone, light years beyond what OR did for the whole run so far. one fight in Seraph beats every fight shown in OR to date. Vivy? animation smoothness, number of frames per-second, depth of field for the cinematography. the above-average technical visuals are stunning in so many new ways in each episode. |
