Damn, Kei's got major balls to pull the moves he did this episode.

Stabbing the game board with that knife, Kei was unhinged. I feel like was coming for a long time with everything that has been building up. He didn't lose his mental control although is heavily affected on an emotional level.

I must admit that sometimes this title is even more brutal than Fukumoto's works.

@Rakiko I think that this title is going to be the last push I need to read Fukumoto's stuff.

Kaiji's got nothing on K madness wise, that's some insane shit he just pulled, didn't expect this match to be so entertaining and unconventional, also seeing Hatakeyama's last pieces of humanity shine was nice thanks to K and Yanagi even if he's probably dead after this match if he loses. (Yanagi is really what's pulling this arc together, surprising for such a secondary character)

I also have to admit that I know nothing about mahjong (even as of now) and I don't like violence, especially gore, but somehow I'm already at the episode 8 of this anime. Maybe this is the charm of "high stake game" genre. Also I just notice that this anime doesn't have this tag yet so if moderator would kindly add that.

I still have no idea what's going on, but this is comical.

Sepuku. And this is only episode 8. Because the opening I thought he was going to slice his pinky when the knife came out.

The final 5th game with the lead/gap of 15 points, Kei going for simple and speedy wins isn't like him, but for the intensity of the high-stake game itself, it's Kei who now suffers from the imbalance of luck, and that reveals his own traitorous plan to appease everyone on scene, even stabbing himself to show loyalty to the Ourin Group. With K guilt losing to Seki on a yakuman, the former is really pushing his luck, but Ourin Group isn't going to let him take the fall down whatsoever.

Dojima being the final straw for Ourin Group, and Hatakeyama now having second thoughts, isn't like him at all being a man with pride, and thanks to Kei, he finally got his mojo back always being the one on a compromise. And that quickly becoming Seki's Achilles' Heel by swapping players, with Kei dropping in inspiration to help Hatakeyama play his usual game, even if they have to draw to end in a tenpai. That, with the smallest wins which is becoming quite the spectacle with Kei losing consciousness from his own injuries, it's just the kind of game that Kei will play on no matter how death awaits him.

A seppuku won't kill Kei, not at the slightest.

Things are starting to heat up, will Kei be able to deal a huge blow or is he really gonna suffer a big loss.

I'm also worried about Amina, she is alright at home or still suffering. Hopefully Kei will be able to return soon to check on her but with his wound I doubt that he can return back in just 2 days time period.
