I asked the same question for a different story, and maybe I'm just suffering availability statistics here but I've found quite a few stories that suddenly rush or end abruptly, seemingly out of nowhere.

I'm up to chapter 50. We're far from resolving every plot thread, but suddenly To Be Continued turned into The End. It's not even a rushed ending it's just an ending.

Well, Manhwas are mainly written by amateurs, most of them doing so on their freetime aside of their job. It's not rare for them to suddenly drop it, to focus on something else in their life, or having health problems. Aside of that, a lot of Manhwas, especially Romance ones (including this one), are adapted from WebNovels. It's extremely rare for them to completely adapt the story, and often even deviate from the story to end more quickly (the art/visual aspect being hard to maintain for long).

I'm not completely sure, but it looks like the WebNovel was dropped by the Author after he got accused of using AI for the story (he used AI for cover illustrations, and many people started doubting what he was doing with the story). If so, there may simply not be enough material for the Manhwa to conclude correctly.

Thanks for the insights! Sometimes folks leave info in comments, e.g. that something is on hiatus so artists catch a break. This is the first time I heard about AI being involved but I reckon it's probably not the only time it's happened, with how many new stories and adaptations pop up every day.

In the end, a little closure is better than no closure at all, haha.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
