I was reading last months Economist and there was an artcile talking about anime is becoming more mainstream. One of the things they pointed out was the fact that In netflix the mnost watched anime a part from demon Slayer was My happy marriage.

Oh, really? If that's true, then I'm glad. I really enjoyed this show, even though I had approached it with a little bit of uncertainty whether I would like it or not. :-) Hopefully Season 2 on Netflix will be at least as popular as Season 1 was.

Not surprising because this anime is pretty good and almost free of sexual themes, which seems to be more suitable for the mainstream.

It's surprising its next to demon slayer. I'd expect other series to be more popular but glad to see it's getting so much attention

Makes sense. Pretty chill anime without fan-service and stunning animation. Not much else can be asked for from the mainstream

Whenever I see something claiming something unexpected like this I'm glad the anime gets a highlight, but I also always assume there's special criteria leading it to be the case like over a certain length of time, the release window, or a specific genre, that type of thing.

Not sure how it’s on par with KnY on Netflix for popularity/viewership. I’m not much of a fan of it but I struggle to see what really captivates most people about it

Maybe it’s the part where the guy burns his arranged fiancé’s former house to the ground because her old family was mean to her lol

Many of my non anime watching friends loved it as well. Shows like « Arcane » and « Love Death Robots » are normalising serious themed animation for people who are not ready for anime.
