I mostly compare the characters here with the ones in Quintessential since the character designs look similar enough for 3 of them and personalities pretty much match up for all 5. The author might just be giving her character type a better chance than it really had in Quintessential. My own head canon is the author didn't like how Quintessential ended so a year later they started this story with Ami being extra stupid so she never even comes close to having a chance lol

Not sure if u are trying to compare Ami to Yotsuba? Their tropes are similar but their arcs are not. Ouka and Yotsuba are a better comparison from that pov since they both didn't have a lot of screentime or char development throughout 2 seasons but both shows drop hints pointing to those characters being the winners

Both fuuka and a town where you live are abject shit in this regard. The ending of this show will suck fuck even more than quintessential quintuplets, I can feel it.
