Why would anyone make a more childish version of the original in the first place? The original audience is now 5 years older. | I've been waiting so long for them to release a second season of this only two watch episode 1 and shut it off halfway. Now, my entire day is ruined. Honestly, wtf were they thinking when making this. |

| Well ep2 was definitely NOT any better 😑 The character designs, the characterizations, the animation, the pacing, the writing (for the few new scenes, since everything else is rehash) is all trash tier, which makes me very sad. I almost cried when my favorite character Killer Queen was nerfed from legit badass (in looks AND attitude) to high school bully levels of blandness 😭 I thought it was odd that none of the original voice cast (aside from Tsuda Kenjirou) returned this season… maybe they knew what a crapfest it was going to be and bailed, or else production dropped them all in favor of cheaper alternatives 🤔 but i guess trying to recast Kunai would have been too much for even this corner-cutting mistake of a sequel. My only hope is now that this season has caught back up to where s1 left off, maybe the new material will provide enough enjoyment to be able to overlook all the awfulness… maybe? 😓 |

It's more appropriate to say that both of them have the same art styles and character designs as the first season of the anime, and if you compare the source of the first season of the anime—it would be the LN as it's stated in MAL's db. So it's rather weird to have a very different art style than what was in the manga that also has similar character design and art styles as the LN. So there. lol |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

From my understanding the first season was done using the light novel as the source material but this season using the manga this explains the change in art style and tone and the first two episodes being recaps
| @Paladin23 The only part of the art that's truly borrowed from the manga is the ending which ironically is the best looking part of the show. Maybe it was dropped due to budget constraints but if they'd faithfully adapted Minotake's designs throughout the show it would be much better than what we're being fed. I would also say that they are not strictly following the LN or the manga but rather following a Frankenstein'd screenplay. The pacing is terrible and lots of context is being skipped. It's safer to say they're just skipping all over the place which falls squarely at the feet of the screenwriter and the director. All we had to do was follow the damn source material, CJ. |

| I've only skimmed the first episode but damn this looks bad. Particularly the MC. Like why did they make him so ugly when he looked and sounded cool in season 1??? Aku looks cute but prefer her original voice. I dont know why the MC sounds like he's trying to do an impression of his own voice from season 1 but failing. Currently re-watching season 1 and am enjoying it and was gonna move onto this but not anymore. Its honestly such a shame cause I was hoping this would be a season 2 that fixes the low production of the first season (Since that had a really rough production with delays etc) and improve upon it but if anything its just made an even worse version somehow. |
