So personally this has been my least favourite season. Now before the hate squad invades let me explain. I love Tensura to death its my favourite Isekai ever. Rimuru is one of my favourite mc's ever and I think the show has incredible world building, characters, Lore, animation and more.

While I say this is my least favourite season that doesn't mean I hate it. I just preferred the first 2 seasons. But I still love this season especially with veldora and diablo properly being a part of it.

My actual question tho is with s4/5 which will inevitably come in the future will we get of the lore/Serious tone of the show?

Like with this season in a way it feels like the aftermath of everything from the previous season (Which I mean it literally is) so naturally this season focuses more on world building and stuff and is more calm. But I'm curious if we will start to get more of that serious tone we had with the first 2 seasons like with the demon lords interacting, Stuff with the primordials, more stuff about the true dragons.

I really love the serious nature tensura can bring at times.

Again no hate to Tensura I love this show. Appreciate any responses

Just like in the other seasons, there will be actions and what not, but there will be a hell of a lot of more politic talk and other talks. We will get to know characters as well.

in short yes

but listen mate, I too love tensura and I always knew people were going to have problems with this season (vol 7-9).

The anime in itself is objectively not the best of adaptations.

But I gotta say, having read the novels and watching the anime afterwards is imo way more fun. Because they do reference a crap ton in these meetings. Especially towards next season. (if you ever saw MT, I'd say that season is the equivalent of a turning point)

So my suggestion, read the novels. They're one of the highest selling for a reason.

The thing about this season being bad is that the anime kinda butchered the adaptation. The manga and LN were far better as they were better paced and the meetings were interesting as you could visualise it any way you wanted and not just static motion and same room meeting like in the anime which made it boring and dragging to watch.

About S4/S5, they will indeed be really good with some serious lore and great worldbuilding. While the meetings will still be there, they will be very interesting and keep you hooked. And S3 no matter how flawed it is, it's really the calm before the storm currently as it will really take a serious tone later with more characters and lots of action. So yeah, you will be in one hell of a ride.

In short, please patiently watch the remaining season and not make this the stopping point of the Series since the future seasons are gonna be so much better. Your anticipation would be worth it and you are gonna enjoy the hell out of it.

@R0r5ch4ch Don't misunderstand I love this season, I've seen a lot of people not liking this season and I understand why. Me personally I love all the meetings and world building.

And with the whole adaptation thing I don't think I've ever seen a light novel with a really good adaptation. The majority of anime I've seen made into light novels usually have people saying that a lot was cut. But I cant judge since i havent read the LN

I do plan to read the LN but not any time soon. For money reasons and that I have other manga/LN I wanna buy

completely understandable, yes.
And I agree on the whole 'it's hard to adapt a light novel'. It's the same with almost any of them.

But I promise you it gets a lot better when you get the payoff in next/later seasons.

I think it doesn't matter if the show gets good later, if you don't like it now you should just stop watching. I mean who knows whether season 4 will even come or not.

But still just for information I have read LN and it does get better, but still if you are expecting a lot of action you will be disappointed at least for quite a while.

You completely misunderstood my post. I love Tensura and I love this season a ton.

I just wanted to know if we will keep the style of this season or the first 2 when going into the next season.

Again in case you never read the post, I love Tensura and every season and have never considered dropping it. I’ve never once in my life watched a show because I like the action.

For me a lot more goes into liking a show than just action and in my opinion what tensura does best is worldbuilding. Which I feel like this season has done really well.

AGAIN I love this season. I’ve seen a lot of people have complained about this season. IM NOT ONE OF THEM

So action aside, can you tell me a bit more what's different from story pov in season 3 because I think worlbuilding is more or less same. Maybe it could be a lot of meetings, which will still keep happening and yes we will get to know more about this world later like primordials, angels, skills, etc.

I love the politic drama talk.
What i hate is they spend so much time with little chitchat or constant recap monologue of what already obvious and told previously.
All those scenes should in 'tensura diary', not here.

There is a massive war arc and tons of action but i dont think the anime will get to it since the light novel is on its final volume.

Unless he starts making spins offs
