idk, it could be a foreshadowing for something, not necessarily death but like her moving away or something, or it could really be just a reference to the movie

Just by observing her character, I really doubt that she only has six months to live. She’s just being quirky

I think she is not serious about that statement...but obviously there is some deeper meaning of that scenario which hopefully we get in upcoming eps.

No. She's not in danger. She said that to test Yuuta. If he understood that she was only joking, then she would have confessed to him right there, which she tried to do before the vending machine cockblocked her, but if he took it too seriously it would mean that he didn't understand her.

In the LN, she actually apologises immediately and doesn't let him answer. He asked if she was serious, but she said it was a joke. In the anime, he gave the "correct" answer that she wanted, but she was interrupted before confessing.

It also has a hidden meaning that she "only has 6 months left" or is basically running out of time because now that he met Saki she thinks he will fall for her and she will lose her chance with him.

The author of the LN answers a lot of questions each week. You can check out what he says on the official reddit after every episode since it's really helpful.

It was a movie reference, well the ambience kinda made the mood.

As for a foreshadowing aspect, it might be her thinking of either looking for a new job soon or thinking about the unpredictability of her future where she might transfer to a new location. College students do have career to think about.
