ngl to me (idunno for sure) this looks like they cheaped out with a lot of AI art and animation, which really sucks as their PVs normally look so good.

@JVskunkape idk how you see AI in this lmao,there isnt even a single mistake in the video,its a mix of 2D and 3D animation.

You meant to say you people from anti genshin cult* If you are making up stuff out of *** like this every time then ofc people are gonna defend the game. This teaser is one of the best they've ever made. They are going in a new direction with Natlan and you can dislike it subjectively but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Also yes you can obviously dislike certain aspects about something even if you like some aspects of it or in general. But making up stuff to complain isn't one of them.

I'm gonna be totally honest with you, reading this I felt like "the genshin cult strikes again" every time I've ever said anything that can be construed as negative about genshin, someone comes out of the woodwork to defend and champion it. You can like something and still be critical of it you know? I like Genshin, just not this PV it looks cheap whether they used AI or not.

Do you know what AI animation looks like? Because I've seen a lot of AI animation that looks almost exactly like parts of this. The BG art too look very reminiscent of AI stuff. Not to say it's entirely AI, I never said that, if it has been used it's definitely been cleaned up after. I said I wasn't 100% sure too. But I am sure Hoyoverse isn't above doing something like that, so I wouldn't be surprised.

But compare this to all their other PVs? You don't see it?

here we go, I was gonna go further into how you are literally being the textbook toxic genshin cultist right now, but just google "genshin impact cult" and see how all the posts talking about it and describing exactly your behaviour.

anti genshin cult? lmao, I already said I like genshin...I've played on&off for years (otherwise I wouldn't be here in this thread? lol) and evidently from my posts I've even seen every PV until now...so what kind of mental gymnastics gets you to that line of thought just because I criticised this cheap looking PV. Which side by side with their others, is easily the worst they've put out, idc if you're excited about the character or w/e...I'm talking about how it looks compared to the others.

At this point I know, when I've put something even slightly negative about Genshin into the ether, I know these replies are coming lol. So that's why I had that feeling of "oh this again". It doesn't matter where...twitter, MAL, YT, anywhere...these type of replies will always find u, because a significant chunk of fanbase is like this.

hell my original post wasn't even entirely negative, I said I wasn't sure and even complimented their other PVs but still...if you're even remotely negative about the IP. It doesn't matter if you clearly state you're a fan, compliment other areas, and even pad your criticism to soften it, you will still face the wrath of the genshin cult. It's cult behaviour, I'm sorry if you didn't notice that that's what you're doing. If you can at least recognise that, that's probably the first step towards not acting like this, hopefully some people reading this can.

Casual people don't bother criticising anything hoyo does as much lately because they cba to deal with u. You're making the products you supposedly love worse by filtering out negative feedback.

you think hoyo is above corner cutting & anti consumer practices? no they aren't, they love that shit. in fact without a negative response from the community, they will learn they can get away with more and will continue to do so and it will only get worse, enshittification...it's just how capitalist society works. They care about making money over user experience...hoyo aren't your friends...they offer you a service and your current behaviour (& that of the fandom at large) is actually actively contributing to the accelerated decline of that service.

That is not true at all.I remember seeing you being negative in other Genshin related forums so Im pretty sure youı clearly got some hate boner about it.The only thing background etc are reminiscient is the cultures they are inspired of and art style of Genshin.All these areas exist ingame as well.

Yes,I cannot see something that is not true.Its literally the same artstyle they used for the other PVs like "Winter Night Lazzo" and "Final Feast"

Btw if anything even sane genshin haters agree that if nothing else hoyoverse is known for delivering polished content compared to 99% other online service games and doesn't cut corners and their service haven't declined in any means. If anything their playerbase is even larger than ever with multiple quality titles under their name now. So once again you are just blatantly making up stuff to hate on.

Anyway talking to you is pointless, I hestitated to even reply to you in the first place and was gonna ignore like I always do but seeing someone claim they are using AI was a bit too much to ignore. Have a good day.

@MegamiRem I mean you're the one making the claim that I made it up? I just expressed my genuine suspicion and opinion. Generally they have decent polish and deliver a mostly consistent service sure, I did enjoy the little I played of Star Rail too, but as I said before that doesn't mean they are above corner cutting, anti consumer practices and other undesirable corporate traits. I mean most if not all of those issues are industry wide and not localised entirely to hoyo either. But I don't trust them any more or less than any other company. Whether we like it not most gaming companies atm are looking at AI technologies as cost saving measures, it would be obtuse to suggest hoyo isn't experimenting with them..if not actively using them already.

I do appreciate the efforts to end amicably tho, a lot of what I said certainly wasn't personal towards you, and was more frustrations towards feeling like there's always someone who pops up like this..whenever I have something negative to express or criticise about the IP.

I reiterate again that I do not hate genshin, am a long time fan & player and am not just making up reasons to attack the franchise...just expressing genuine concerns and criticisms.
