Ohh that's how it ended.... hopefully there's an epilogue at some point with the rest of the characters and lives.

TBH i think they could have stretched it out a bit more to explore their dating relationship better - telling Gramps which I don't think they did, Futaba and her decision and any conflicts/worries about moving abroad.

I kinda wanted more. I agree about an epilogue being good.

Even then though, that was a good read throughout these years.

The entire ending arc was bad, but that final chapter just sealed it without any improvement.

Why have a romance with the goal of two characters getting together and then totally skip ALL development past the confession??? No proposal, no wedding, just skip straight to "we're married". What even is the point of this?

And there is so much left unresolved from other characters. Supposedly there are going to be some additional chapters later to address some of that, but it just feels like a half hearted attempt by the author to keep the fans from rioting over the lack of closure here.

I was enjoying the story up to this arc, but this botched ending tanked it for me.

Don't think the author wanted it to end like that, but was pretty much forced by the publisher to wrap it up. Still a shame to see what became of the ending

Finally this disappointment is over... 3/10.

I barely remember the good of it of what I liked about it.
Those two coworkers becoming a couple was sweet. Heck, at some point they became better than the main couple.
... I think overall it was somewhat funny at first, but it never properly progressed the main couple's reality of her love for him.

It should have ended sooner after that disgusting shota x oneesan bullshit started. Wtf was that about... meaningless.
While that shit and the coworker's romance was fresh, for whatever reason the main couple got left out, right after the heroine became comfortable with the one she loves.

Yet, nothing happened because they were completely forgotten.
Until the unoriginal concept of your loved one leaving to another country forces her to finally confess all of a sudden which he was oblivious to regarding her feelings.
Then, in the end, they're a couple. That's it. ... It was ok excluding those faults, but what an awful disappointment.

I'm also pretty dissapointed in the ending. Sure, it's kinda wholesome. Sure, its cute. But it feels rushed all the same. The author tried to give us some closure but it is severely lacking. Would it hurt to see the whole cast together one last time? Maybe after a time skip? Something more to grasp on to than just an affirmation of their relationship so we can see that it ended well for everyone and feel happy with them?

It was a good little manga. I loved it. The journey was good and fun, the destination ok but it's just not enough with all the emotions circling between the characters. What about Kurobe for example? I'm really sad about how it turned out with her. I want some real closure because it hurts to think that she's just gonna end up miserable...

Just because I enjoyed it so much right up untill the end, I give it 8/10. But man that ending just hurt me sideways.

The ending felt pretty lame and to me hurt the overall manga. I was already annoyed that so much time was spent on other "couples" (it's something I usually don't like), but I was still holding out hope that there was more to come for the main characters to make all the wasted time worth it, but nope. I'm reading this for the development of the main characters' romance not a bunch of side-characters that seem to get double the screen time.

The manga is a 6.5 to me but because I'm a gracious god, I round up to 7.

Boo! We didn't even get a kiss with Takeda and Igurashi. Also I guess Natsumi is just gonna keep her feelings a secret.
I actually would like more on Touko and Souta, but the main couple was the one that got the least development romantically in this story and I thought we were heading into that once the confession happened.

it was certainly a good read but I was also kinda hoping for more to do with their life and how they get along as a couple. shame but also a good ending.

I really enjoyed this manga but that ending and the handful of chapters before it were very rushed.

It was wrapped up so quickly that they ruined everything. If they had to wrap up the story in a short time, they could have given a few more answers. The other characters were written off as if nothing had happened and we didn't get a single explanation of the various what/how/when/whys regarding Takeda. If it wasn't for the final arc I would have given it a 7 because there were funny moments and I loved the Sakurai - Kazama couple. I didn't like this ending not for what was said but for how it got there and what it produced.

"We're together. OK. The end"

Loved this manga overall, but this ending was strange. It was so predictable and simple that I didn't feel anything even though I was following this manga for years.

Both of them saying they don't need anyone except each other is like the author's admitting that none of the other characters are getting any closure lol

Also, am I the only one who thought the art and maybe even the feel of the story changed in the last third of the manga or so? The characters look stiff and a little off now.

Anyway, this was one of my favorite things to read for a while and I even read most of the chapters 2 or 3 times. With this ending and the vague feeling that the manga got worse in the last third I'm giving this a 7.5/10

I just breezed through the story from start to finish after I watched the anime back when it first aired. Got a little curious since I heard it just recently ended. After reading it the author focused more on the kazama and sakurai relationship. It almost felt that their relationship was the main relationship. Which was the main reason as to why I picked up the manga was for their relationship. The main relationship at the end was rushed and didn’t stick the landing to the point it was underwhelming to read the last chapter. Although igarashi and takeda lacked a solid conclusion the sakurai and kazama ship was the main focus for me and I enjoyed their conclusion (even though there could have been more).

So erm it ends here? Quite underwhelming ig. Overall though glad I watched the anime back in 2021 and read the manga from there on, it was fun till it lasted.
