i dont think its a fair comparisson, shikanokos humour is not as based in pop culture as LS or Nichijou, but in the absurd, which makes an excellent combination with its pop cultural references (which id say are lighter than the other showss and more recognizable for western audiences) (ex. i dont think well find many direct joke references to haruhi suzumiya like konata being a cosplayer of her on LS or the glico compañía joke stairs in nichijou)

i think tho that the ones we get, have the side of being "funny by themselves without the reference but funnier with the reference", like the first 30 seconds of the first episode being a direct parody of the first 30 seconds of maría sama ga miterus opening

I think if anything its most similar to Azumanga Daioh with how absurd it can be. Though i do get the Nichijou comparisons. Lucky Star though? I love LS but i just don’t see it.

in my opinion they are kinda like a gradient on how like waky they get over time. like
azumanga daioh is less crazy than lucky star which is less crazy than nichijou which is less crazy than shikono. am i the only one seeing this?

Not a very similar tbh. Anyway, this is definitely better than Lucky☆Star, even though this is far from being one of my favorite comedies.

@Serafos It is funny, i enjoyed Lucky Star more. Each episode of Shikanoko is worse than the last one, it is one of the top dropped animes of this season and i can understand why.
